Tyrese Gibson (Robert Epps in the previous Transformers Movie Trilogy) has been very open about his hopes to appear in the upcoming Transformers 4. In this interview clip on mobli he states he's been in communication with director Michael Bay about doing just that. According to Bay TF4 will feature a new cast, both human and robot, though we already know Glen Morshower will be returning and if Gibson has his way so will he.

It'd be nice to have someone who's enthusiastic about the franchise -- and a human character that's not weird/crazy/stupid -- on board again.

I wouldn't mind him and Josh Duhamel reprising their roles, even making them the main human characters.
