So as we hear the U.S. are getting ready for the full release of Season 2, over here in the United Kingdom we are still pacing up and down waiting for any type of release!

Good news!
I sent an email to Hasbro UK asking about the release date for Season 1 here in the U.K. and heres what they came back with...

Its a start at least! The 'Darkness Rising' DVD has been available to the U.K. but only in NTSC format, but this is now getting a full PAL Region 2 DVD release on the 22nd October 2012 with Amazon UK coming in cheapest at only £8.00!

So good news for some who are keen to get their hands on this U.K. DVD release but what many of us are really waiting for is the full Season 1 Blu-ray release!

Come on Hasbro, more love!

Whilst the U.S enjoys the home viewing pleasure of Season 2, gearing up for the Spring 2013 broadcast of Season 3, here in the U.K. we make do with what is on offer.

February 18th 2013 sees the R2 DVD release of Transformers Prime : Dangerous Ground from Universal Pictures UK which contains episodes 6-10 (TFP Darkness Rising being ep 1-5) from Season 1.

Amazon UK have a pre-order up now for the small sum of £8.00 with Darkness Rising now only £6.50!

Still no sign of a complete Blu-ray release of Season 1 (or 2) here in the U.K. and this very slow uptake of these award winning episodes is somewhat disheartening.
Lets hope we dont have to wait for another 3 more DVD compilations to arrive before the complete Blu-ray gets a go?
