I'm trying to buy a Fansproject City Commander. What are the differences between ver. 1 and ver. 2 both are by Fanproject. Do they both come with a gun and extra faces? Are they painted differently? Thanks for any help you can provide.

I have both, V2 has better articulation on the head, my V1 head has not much range of movement at all. Also V2 comes with the rifle and missiles, and there are holes to allow the missiles to be more firmly attached in trailer mode.

I'll point out that Perfect Effect made a backpack that allows you to attach the missile launchers more easily in V1. So, even if you have V1, there's still a way to stick those missiles on in trailer mode.

Another difference is that V2's face slides out easily, allowing you to switch it out for various others (including a custom one Dr. Dr. Wu). V1's face is pegged in more securely. It's possible to break it and make it slide out, but I couldn't bring myself to do that.

On a related note, I'm looking for a V2 or KO CC head to stick on my own V1 CC ...

And on the CC head you're looking for... Just rip the face off the one you own with all your might then you'll no longer need to track one down. If you brake it! No worries because you were replacing it to begin with. Good Luck.

There's a peg that holds it in place that I'd have to cut. I'd rather shell out for a new head altogether than deface the one I already have, if that makes any sense.

All the upgrades to the CC mould were found in Shadow Commander first. So there's no "V1" of Shadow commander; he's always had the holes in vehicle mode for the missile launchers and the rest. FYI, the KOs all used Shadow Commander as a base so they're all "V2" as well, just kind of shitty.

Version 2 comes with the missile launchers and bonus gun. Well worth it I believe. That's the only legit version I own. All my repaints are KO's. (Shadow,DIA,SG)

Her is your best option at TF Source pre-prder for $139. I dont think you will get a better deal from anybody personally.
