He needs the missiles to really look cool. The gun is also equally awesome. Much better than using that truck cab thing Hasbro gives you. You also get this little clear suitcase with really small energon cubes which I never use. There is a KO Missile and gun set available at Robotkingdom for 20 bucks.

I have the first version City Commander with the upgrade set that has the gun, missiles, and extra faces. There is a semi-secure way to mount the launchers on the V1, with the only detriment being that the pegs that hold it on in bot mode will stick out. Also the head articulation is not that limited on the V1, it just needs time to loosen up... oh and be damned careful when trying to do so, I broke one neck already trying to get it to move at all!

Other collectors' opinions notwithstanding, I could care less for the extra stuff... my brother does, but I don't. The base set does what it needs to do without the unnecessary fluff of G1 accurate accessories, and the extra faces have no place to store!

I'll consider it the next time I'm within 50 miles of a home depot, and when I pull the old box that I left the faces in out of the back of the closet.

On the up side I did keep the mouthpated face out and put it on my D.I.A. commander. Makes him looks kinda like Star Saber.

Your welcome, that's the set I bought, like I say very good quality.

I just used the G1 missile launchers instead of buying the upgrade set. His G1 gun as well. But i of course already had those parts on hand. But if you don't than 20 bucks for that set seems like a good deal.
