Ok, I've never modified one of my transformers minus changing out batteries so this scares me a little. I actually love my UM and don't want to ruin him. However, I would really like to get his shoulder issue taken care of.
So my question regards how
exactly to accomplish the clear nail polish mod. Do I pop off the arms and coat the inside of the ball joint? Or do I coat the end of the ball instead? I'm assuming I then just wait until it dries and then pop the arms back on? How many coats/how thick? Lastly, is nail polish a better fix than super glue?
Any guidance would be much appreciated.
Back on topic...I recommend this figure even with the shoulder issue. Also, if the Weaponizer UM is a better figure than some of the other Weaponizers then I'll probably get him too. As far as scale is concerned, I think either would be fine as it just depends on your personal taste as to how big UM should be compared to the other bots. Yet, as PrymeStriker alluded to earlier, I bet we see him in the show. If that happens, you can choose the best scale for you, be it classic or show accurate and go from there!
NOTE: this is MY way of fixing loose joints. I do not use nail polish. Rather I use something else that is just as effective.
STEP 1- Go to local Walmart.
STEP 2- Go to floor care isle and look at all of the house cleaning sprays and liquids.
STEP 3- Find Pledge Floor Care with Future (must have future with it)
STEP 4- Go home of course, and get a paint brush and dip it in the pledge floor care with future and then damp a little on a paper towel and apply it to the joint of the figure.
STEP 5-Apply several coats making sure it is rubbed all over the joints. Move the figures arm and twist it around making sure all of the joint has been covered with the liquid.
STEP 6- let the figure set for a day or a few hours. I recommend several days for the best results.
Have a nice day friend. Oh and could you give me a link to buy PRiD Ultra Magnus for a deal? or could someone?
