When did I say you weren't allowed to have an opinion? I asked if you had any other complaints. I expressed my opinion on the matter after you answered with another question and that was that. You don't have any other complaints, case closed.

and now I'm a baiting troll?

With snarky comments [that I perceived as] intended to get a rise out of me, and then later down the road say that it was "all in good fun?" What is that all about? :-|

You're right how dare I defend myself.

As for the other thread you mentioned get over it.

You could purchase Steel Core and pop an Ultra Magnus head on it.

That's what I'm doing- it's cheaper than tracking down City Commander's components and it's not as bulky so the posability is better.

PrymeStriker - thanks again for the pic. I gotta say, I am really warming to this Magnus... And he actually does look pretty good scaled next to Prime in both modes, so my concerns are quickly evaporating on that level.

Prime 0080 - Steelcore is cool, but I'm not digging the alt-mode as Magnus. Thanks for the suggestion though!

I have the ultra magnus, myself. while he is not the best figure out there, i still like him. The hammer/gun does weigh arm down, and I wish they would have given him 2 of his shoulder missiles instead of one. I like his alt mode. If Reprolabels does some decals for him, I'm definitely getting some. Would make the bot mode look a lot better. That's a lot of blue.....

PrymeStriker wrote:Use nail polish. Loose shoulders are the complaint I keep hearing about and they call him a suckish figure because of it. Loose joints are the easiest QC issue to fix, just take action.

Ok, I've never modified one of my transformers minus changing out batteries so this scares me a little. I actually love my UM and don't want to ruin him. However, I would really like to get his shoulder issue taken care of.

So my question regards how exactly to accomplish the clear nail polish mod. Do I pop off the arms and coat the inside of the ball joint? Or do I coat the end of the ball instead? I'm assuming I then just wait until it dries and then pop the arms back on? How many coats/how thick? Lastly, is nail polish a better fix than super glue?

Any guidance would be much appreciated. :D

Back on topic...I recommend this figure even with the shoulder issue. Also, if the Weaponizer UM is a better figure than some of the other Weaponizers then I'll probably get him too. As far as scale is concerned, I think either would be fine as it just depends on your personal taste as to how big UM should be compared to the other bots. Yet, as PrymeStriker alluded to earlier, I bet we see him in the show. If that happens, you can choose the best scale for you, be it classic or show accurate and go from there!

NOTE: this is MY way of fixing loose joints. I do not use nail polish. Rather I use something else that is just as effective.

STEP 1- Go to local Walmart.
STEP 2- Go to floor care isle and look at all of the house cleaning sprays and liquids.
STEP 3- Find Pledge Floor Care with Future (must have future with it)
STEP 4- Go home of course, and get a paint brush and dip it in the pledge floor care with future and then damp a little on a paper towel and apply it to the joint of the figure.
STEP 5-Apply several coats making sure it is rubbed all over the joints. Move the figures arm and twist it around making sure all of the joint has been covered with the liquid.
STEP 6- let the figure set for a day or a few hours. I recommend several days for the best results.

Have a nice day friend. Oh and could you give me a link to buy PRiD Ultra Magnus for a deal? or could someone? :D

He's a good figure. The only real problems are weak shoulder joints and his color scheme is a little bland. Both are pretty easy to fix. I wouldn't get my hopes up for the weaponizer. Optimus and Bumblebee both look terrible so I'm guessing Magnus will be too.

Autobot Strider wrote:Thanks for the pics guys! I guess his size isn't that bad - although it would have been nice if he was taller than FE Prime, since thats the one I've got, but ah well. Any vehicle mode comparaison shots?

Ask and you shall receive my friend! Sorry I just got around to posting these, but I'm training for a marathon and had a 3 hour/15 mile run today! Anyway, here's some photos that should help show you the comparison of PRiD UM and FE Optimus.

I really love the Prime aesthetic and this UM mold looks great to me. If the Weaponizer UM mold looks similar and is decent at all then I will absolutely be getting him!

Again, I hope the pics help you make a decision!

P.S. @Skywarp55: Thanks for the tip about fixing the shoulder ball joint issue. I will definitely give it a try. Also, I'd recommend watching HTS.com closely for UM to show up. I spoke with a rep before who said that items are added back to the site as they receive them and that it could be at any time on any day. HTS has been having some good deals for the holidays too. Good luck and thanks again!
