That's news to me, I've been waiting for the 2nd wave to hit our shores!

I have 8 Deluxe Steves now, 1 First Edition Steve and 9 Mini Steves. Some are still carded. More due to shelf space than any real desire to not open them. My local Sainsburys has 2 sat on the shelf right now, but I cant quite justify spending full price on some thing I have so many of...

FoC wave 2 appeared for me just before Xmas, and sporadically appears in a few shops down my way, but I havent seen enough to make a full Bruticus since I lucked out while Xmas shopping (my misses bought me all 5 over 2 shops in one trip :) )

I've just been to my nearest Smyths toy store and picked up a couple of deluxe Vehicon's for £8.99 :) I do really need to stop buying every Steve I see in a shop... They had other Deluxe as well, a couple of Dead Ends, Arcee, Ratchet, Airachnid and a boat load of Kups. They also had the Bruticus wave of FoC figures but only a Prime, a Vortex and a couple of Brawls left.

Then I'm afraid this news has come a bit too late for you mate. They have been around in TRU since December and Smyths since January/February, now though, you're lucky if you find any in either store. I had to resort to ordering a Vortex online cos I couldn't find any more combaticons anywhere to complete my lot.
BTW, if you want wave 3 , hit up a Forbidden Planet, they have them as well as wave 2 in stock. But at higher prices...

Bloody Nora. My local TRU is still flood with FOC wave 1 (was last time i checked 3 weeks ago), and a friend is in there at least once a week too. Lousy Nottingham distribution!

Nice. Speaking of Magnus and Air Raid, FOC wave 3 can be found at toymaster/ toy planet stores.
Not that I know where either of those is in relation to me, twas peeps over on FullMetalHero who found out.

I see no Air Raid here... :D

Im sorry but he will always be more of a Strafe than any of the aerialbots, to me at least.

Im still waiting to find a deluxe Steve, and I haven't spotted a Skyquake yet either. However, in the absence of buying new tfs, I seem to have rekindled my desire for a DOTM Wheeljack, and seeing as they're still only about £30 shipped on amazon, I might just go for it. Not so keen on the Soundwave though, and Leadfoot is just sooooooooooooo expensive now -.-

I've also done a little bit of customizing this week, turning DOTM Sideswipe into a Mirage-like figure. I'll put pics up when its done, and heck, maybe get on the creative roundup!

Hint hint, Va'al ;)

Agreed, as that's the role he'll fill in my CHUG collection as when and when I get him. Plans on customising (head swap and paint!) FOC Sideswipe into Lightspeed to go with him!

He's Fireflight to me, seen as that was what he was going to be called, and that's who the colour scheme and bio fit.

DOTM Wheeljack is one of the best DOTMers. Excellent car mode, nice bot, good plastic, loads of accessories, I paid £30 and do not regret the cost.
[I also did a review of him if you need something to help you make up your mind :)]

I've just got back from Sainsbury's near me and they STILL have 2 Deluxe Steve's sat on the shelf. I would have picked them up but, even though I have 8 (not 10) I kinda don't feel the need to spend £12.99 on them each just to make up the number. I you wan't one though Nova I will more than happily pick you one up :) I'm nice like that, and hate to see a good Steve go to waste.

In other news... Toys R Us now have Beast Hunters on their website, but out of stock. I was also in my local Entertainer earlier and they had Knock Out, Dead End, Rumble Airachnid, Stealth Bee, Cliff, Arcee and the obligatory Sgt. Kup on offer for £7.89. No Steve's (or they would have been mine!) Weirdly they were American cards rather than European (Long card rather then stubby).

Nothing much else to report from the land of Odd.

I keep searching for Skyquakes but no joy and I'm fairly certain that time is running out on the window to nab one what with Beat Hunters about to warm all shelves...

am considering calling the FOC Shockwave repaints Rewind and Eject, but there's also Laserwave and Wingsaber that might be used (for the blue and red ones respectively) since Rewind and Eject are maybe too small to use this mold. That and I want a MP Rewind to go with FP Core.

Don't worry, I got an A* in English and there's no weird love scenes anywhere.

I really like that posing the legs and neck differently gives them fairly different silhouettes while leaving both still towering over other deluxes. The asymmetry in robot modes is nicely reminiscent of the CR/RiD cars as well.

Been away from home but whilst I was gone mister postman delivered me my Blitzwing.

Hmm, straight out of the box I had to do surgery on him, before even getting to transform him, I did the take apart, shave the insides down mod on him, worked like a treat, but his legs were floppy as hell, had to tighten them up with superglue :/

Then his 3 faces were too tight to pull down, had to take his head apart and shave off all the excess paint and now it works great. After all of this work he is near perfect, absolutely great figure! I recommend him as long as you don't mind taking the time to do surgery on him.

As for sightings, it seems like all of the prime line is reduced across different stores, the entertainer has deluxes at something like £7.80, voyagers for £15. Spotted two vehicons in the Warrington entertainer.

Out shopping for new boots today and got a better deal than I was expecting so I popped my head into Home Bargains on the off chance of a cheap Vehicon. Then this kinda happened...

Image

I've left the mechtech off Starscream entirely, locked it open on Magnus and got the other 2 secured with the clear bands from the packaging. Seriously considering grabbing a second Magnus just for the extra missile since there's the option to shoulder mount them. I'm thinking with a bit of trimming to the head the second figure would paint up into a pretty sweet Huffer.

congrats! How you liking Thundertron?

as a Visionaries fan I'm fond of clear blue lions with facial hair, but was impressed enough with the mold that I keep considering the Lio Prime AM version.

anyway, Kapow have a sale on, and I was able to get the BH Ratchet for a tenner. Really wanted that, since the first version of the character was a pretty awesome fun toy, and the new one has his BW Dinobot thing going on. Gonna be repurposing him as a Junkion medic. TFSource only had him as part of a wave set, so I'd already been eyeing up the Kapow site for him, but at this price, I couldn't say no!

They've also got Fort Max for £250. That's pretty tempting, but I'm holding out hope that there'll still be Metroplex pre-orders when I get a cheeky wee bonus on my paycheck at the end of next month.

I saw a beautiful Sentinel Prime custom from the Magnus mold, so that's another idea
Starscreams weapon can be tied out as well, but its a bit tricky to do. Its also not that stable. However, if you extend it and then push the battery compartment forwards, it stays locked out and turns the light off

My favourite thing about Thundertron, apart from the fact that he only cost me £4.99, is this.

That's cool. I won't be stripping the awkward weapon for the moment but the parrot sits nicely with just friction on the shoulder claws.

What are the rest of his crew like in the book? Any toys out there that'd make good stand ins for them?
