They had Arcee, Vertebreak and Crock-Out in Toys R Us Chatham on Saturday, lots of them.

Unfortunately they also had Metroplex...

Now they don't have Metroplex any more and I can't afford to buy any more Transformers this month. :(

I'm just hoping the Wave 4's hang around a little while.

Chatham also had the Ultra Magnus Generations wave, pretty much all of them with the exception of Kick Back. Still no sign of Cyberverse wave 3, or Commanders Wave 2.

As far as Metroplex goes. I still have a little giggle of joy when I see him stood next to the sofa, looming over the arm of my seat. He is massive, seriously I knew how big he was but it's not until he is actually in your hands that you get a good idea of how ludicrously big he really is!

Downsides: £125. STICKERS oh so many stickers... and I suck at putting stickers on. Also I am a bit narked that they have messed around with the voice chip for the UK release. He doesn't say anything. Just makes a series of loud and annoying stompy transforming noises that made my wife tell me to stop playing with him :( I just wanted him to say "Metroplex heeds the call of the last Prime" but nooooooooooooooooooooo Hasbro have to make toys that can be sold all over Europe with no language issues. :-(

However, gripes aside... I am truly happy that I have worked hard up until this point in my life so that I can afford £125 to spend on 2 foot of awesome plastic.

What's the betting Toys R Us send out one of those 20% off vouchers this weekend...

Greetings Gents! I've been on the hunt again this past weekend, clearing some stuff up and filling some holes. Finally picked up voyager predaking and decided to see if the BH wheeljack was any good (I was seriously dissapointed.) Voyager predaking fits nicely with my Season 3 decepticons whereas I've kept Ultimate predaking as the centrepiece of my predacons. Considering how dissapointed I was with both BH Wheeljack and BH Soundwave, I won't be picking up any further beast hunters figures besides Prowl. They've been uniformly dissapointing.

ANYWAY. My local TRU (liverpool) has the next FOC Generations wave Sideswipe/Starscream/Kickback. I managed to pick up the last kickback they had on the shelves, and I was really really happy with him. His gold paint really pops, and I think his transformation is actually really neat. I've decided to stick him with my Prime Decepticons also since I don't really collect smaller than deluxes, he makes a good stand in for Hardshell/Bombshock/Generic Insecticon.

I really recommend picking him up at retail if you can find him, now he's out, it might bust his ebay prices back down as they're currently around £25 - 30.

Next FOC wave we're looking for is gonna be bruticus right?

Sorry dude, Bruticus was Wave 2, he appeared (and disappeared) around Christmas last year.

Oh, it'll be Wreckers/Ruination then.
Even better!

Looking forward to them just for picking up an impactor more than anything.

The army of Beasts are coming along nicely.

I hope we will be seeing the BH Shockwave soon and perhaps FoC Blaster although, not sure we really needed a Voyager sized Blaster? I gave Voyager Soundwave a miss as he doesnt scale with anything in the rest of the line?

Popped in to the Toys R Us store in Bedford and saw... absolutely NO Masterpiece figures at all? :-?

I can see the logic behind a new blaster toy, not necessarily it being a voyager though. It's the first real re-tread of blaster since energon if you don't count his device label incarnation. He could fit in nicely as part of a classics G1 cast.

About the masterpieces, My TRU doesn't seem to have them on display at all either. I vaugely recall someone telling me that some TRU's don't put them on display and only have them in the back for people who ask at the counter so they can enforce their 'limit 2 per customer' rule. I haven't personally tried this at my own TRU, but is this true? I'll be taking a visit there the morning of my birthday so I might give it a shot.

EDIT: I'm also starting to get pretty worried about Beasthunters Shockwave. I always had a feeling he was going to be hard to get my hands on, and prices for him seem to be rising online. I think I'll hold out until I can find a decent deal to get him at more or less retail price before I'd panic buy him online.

I have a spare unopened MP Soundwave that somebody can have for what I paid for it. I bought a 2nd thinking I would keep one in its box but have since decided against it.

Just been looking at prices for BH shockwave, and it's actually cheaper a few places to get the Japanese GO! Shockwave imported instead.

TRU Reading has MP Soundwave and Acid Storm on full display, and in fairly large quantities (at least 10 of each). No metroplex or generations deluxes of any type, but they did have Voyagers, so I got myself a Grimlock. I was tempted by Soundwave, but im not paying £49 for the whole family. If him and his casseticons go on half price then I'll definitely bite, but not for that price. Also, construct bots. 1 Starscream, 1 Wheeljack, 1 Blitzwing, 1 Bumblebee, and about 10 Op/Megs sets. I dont know why but they just appeal to me so much.
However I am eagerly awaiting images of the AoE toys, so I can choose between main line or cyberverse now, and work out my budget for the next year.

Just nipped 'round to my local Home Bargains for some shopping and I spotted that they have KreO Beast Hunters Optimus Primefor £7.99. I didn't think they'd been released yet.

Also, B&M seem to be carrying the Dr. WU giant Alternator looking things with the officially listened vehicle modes.

Check it out, Beast hunters OP Kreo set w/ Energon Kicker, available for delivery from Home Bargains for £8.

As far as I was aware this set wasn't even released yet, I'm still hearing american fans speaking as though they're waiting for this to hit shelves.

Beast Hunter Weaponisers are in the Entertainer, both Bumblebee in that weird green colour and prime with the massive sword from dragon BH Prime.

Both of their wound chips are modified for world releases :(

Picked up BH voyager sky quake for £12.99 from my local b&m today. It was the only one in the store.

The new Leeds Smyth has both BH weaponisers in. They are also selling ultimate predaking for £32.99 which isn't a bad saving I thought.

Ok, quick question: Grimwing or Darksteel?

Darksteel. Better colour scheme IMO. :-B

Ok, let's back up a sec.

I'm still trying to decide on one figure to get. Haven't bought anything in ages.
I was waiting for a MP Optimus, but I left for a week and all four were bought! :-(

Now, I want to figure out this: finally get FoC Starscream, though I checked TRU today and they were also all gone; Voyager BH Shockwave; one of the Predacons, either Darksteel or the big Predaking.
Suggestions?

Ooh, if you could, yes please. I doubt it'll be reduced in price though. Let me know!

As for RORC, nope - have a convention on 18-20 in Kendal, one next month in Leeds and am teaching in between. Plus my own research and everything else.

I got Shockwave for his robot mode, Predaking for his dragon mode and Darksteel to compliment Grimwing. Beast Fire Predaking is my own personal favourite, however I actually recommend picking up Shockwave first, if you can find him.

so Metroplex doesn't even have his proper voice clips? knew I should have jumped on that Takara version when I could. Japanese speech I don't understand is still better than boring laser sounds.
