Hi everyone. Just wanted to drop by and share in progress images of my custom Skyfall upgrade parts. I wanted to give him a G2 style head. A friend also suggested to give him sniper rifles. I'm creating the parts in 3D, and then will have them laser prototyped to scale. Once I have them in hand, I'll just sand, primer, and then paint them. Skyfall's new head will retain the light up function. The visor is translucent. Below are photos showing progress of these parts in order. Also special thanks to the photo gallery you have here. I allways come here first for the excellent photo references.

Hi! Just wanted to show an update on this project. I got the prototype head in. Still waiting on the guns. Below is a link to a youtube video showing how the visor still works with the original LED light in the head.

Thanks! The head was design in 3d, and then laser prototyped. The final version will look like something that came from Hasbro's factory.

so many questions! lol are you planning on selling them? is this something that the average joe can do? are you planning more? looks really cool....I wish I could do it too! I would have so many heads to redo, no more trying to find a suitable head from another donor :grin:

I am looking into selling the head, and guns as a set. I've had many fans ask me about it. So I'm in the process of looking into producing them on my own. This is very hard for the average joe to do. You really need training in either CAD or 3D software to be able to make something at least decent. I've been 3d modeling for about 11 years now. I do have other projects in the works, like a blaster upgrade set for the universe repaint, and a weapons set for classics prime and megatron.

I haven't posted prototypes for the other two projects here, since I'm not really that active on Seibertron.com. But if you guys would like to see them, I'd be happy to make new threads show casing the work on those projects.

well looks like you very good at what you do. I would be interested in seeing both of your other concepts and would be interested in buy all three.....how bout commission's like say a G1 beachcomber head for movie 07 landmine ? lol.
anyways looking forward to seeing some more of your stuff. :APPLAUSE:

I'll post the other proejcts when I'm further along. I was taking commissions, but I'll be stopping now. To many requests for custom parts, and I don't really have the time for them all.

Some new photos of the prototype, including the two rifles. I'll have painted photos on the weekend.

Damn it. I just got my Skyfall today, and I was pretty happy with him. 'Til I saw these pictures, and am now jealous. Awesome work.

I have some photos of the painted prototype to share. The casted pieces will look smoother, along with the visors being nicer looking. As long as everything goes as planned. And there are two different colored visors shown. The rifles also fit loosely in jetmode. This is do to the bottom side of the fists having a slightly wider hole.

i agree, yes...... to find a skyfall! i haven't seen it here in ontario yet, or any of the walworld exclusives. I love it it very sharp, why when doing g1 homages does hasbro not more often than not look at the heads......silverbolt/skyfire/dreadwing ? anyway if you decide to produce for sale sign me up!..I looked at your page at the blaster.....ssswwweeetttt! keep it up. :APPLAUSE:

Wow ... this is incredibly awesome. I wish I had the ability and skills to do this. Skyjack lives!!! Very nice work. I hope to see this get featured in a Transtopia newsletter soon.

I had to drive down to Washington state to get my Skyfall. Last time I went down, they were all sold out. :\ I don't think him and the other Ultra repaints will be showing up in Canada.
