Toyworld TW-T02 Aurora aka Throttlebot Searchlight

Toyworld have pulled out all the stops once again with Aurora, a supberb figure which is a new take on the classics Throttlebot Searchlight.

Continuing their updates of the Autobot team, Aurora is a very solid and hugely articulated large Deluxe which looks magnificent alongside a collection of other classics. Aurora fits right in as part of the transforming family.

Another classy figure from Toyworld.

I eventually finished my ultimate classics/3rdp cliffjumper today with the beelzeeboss devil horns head love how much it changes his look , also upgraded with the mgs kit , renderform blaster and reprolables.



Not the best pose , Superion got his last two limbs and is now patiently waiting for his new chest and gun .

KO MP-16 arrived today. Want to repaint Rumble and Buzzsaw into something else which is why I got the KO instead of a second official version. Problem is that I haven't yet figured out what I'm repainting them into

Isn't that thing awesome ? I've got him too and he looks great standing next to Generations Warpath and co. Definitely not as slavishly G1 as iGear's, but fits in perfectly with the stylings of Hasbro's Generations/Classics figures .

How is it, really? Baltmatrix bought one and in his review he said it wasn't the best quality. Especially the materials used in the construction. As though it might break. Same opinion?

I only partially agree with Spada (I think that's his name, right?). Yes, there are parts of him that seem a bit cheapy, but honestly, I've transformed him several times and don't have any stress marks and while I feel/see what he's talking about with some of the bits on it, I've never felt like I was going to break it. For example, the red part on the back he's so concerned about, while seeming pretty weak, isn't really a load bearing component at all. It's just a very loose hinge/joint bit that you rotate to lock his back into his chest using tabs. You don't have to apply any pressure at all to the weak/loose parts he takes issue with so I can't see it breaking unless you're doing things with those parts that you'd have absolutely no reason to do.

As far as the sum of the materials/paint etc. goes, I don't feel like he should have cost as much as he did (these guys must have made a killing on this thing), but I'm still glad that I have him in my collection and even if I'd had a chance to get him in hand and transform him etc. before committing to paying the price that I did for him, I'd still be compelled to get him. I feel like he's exactly what Has/Tak would do if they were to make a Generations Gears, and to me that's worth paying the price for since they haven't done so yet.

What a fantastic version of the recently designed IDW comic book inspired Optimus Prime.
This amazing, may I suggest, Ultra scaled figure delivers in all areas of awesomeness.

Toyworld have excelled once again with this solid, sturdy, super articulated version of the Autobots leader.

I've been bashing KFC's pitiful attempts at the cassettes and decided to get some of the non-show versions to try them out. Turns out I was 100% correct, these are completely crap, don't waste your money!

KFC CST-02NS Nightstalker (Evil Ironpaw) - His head is stuck and will not fold out for lion mode!

KFC CST-03 & CTS-04 Boxbomber Set of B-Box & BirdBomber - One of BirdBombers wing fell off out of the box!


KFC CST-01SG Rhinohorn Evil Version - Looks as bad as I thought it would in Rectangular Box Mode, reasonable rhino mode though.
