So it seems that TFSource has acquired their stock of the figures, which means that a full release can't be far behind. You can see all the pics here. Though here's a few of the interesting ones.

Other things of note is that the smaller figure fits into the larger one as sort of a transector-type armour. It will fit into the robot and vehicle mode. Also due to the inclusion of smaller figure, any additional runs will be $190ish instead of the current price. So get him now ;)

Expect Hexatron preorders in August or September with a projected November release date in his G1 colours.

I know, right? It's pretty unexpected and cool.

Very cool, even though I'm not a fan of all the light blue on him. I've also noticed how they strategically never photograph that right shoulder, which is strangely hallow.

Still waiting on TFSource to ship mine. Totally wasn't expecting the little figure. BONUS!!!

I remember MMC saying not too long ago that Hexatron was after Air Screech or whatever his name was (starscream).

I contacted them about Terminus Hexatron not too long ago and they said he should be out in November.

Agreed, it's a nice little bonus. May help sell me on this after all.

Like your avatar pict too! Have it as my profile picture on Facebook in preparation for SDCC.

Not interested in Shockwave. But Sixshot is a must have.

This figure looks great, but I still don't get why they made it so damn big (and expensive). Was Shockwave twice the size of Prime in the comic? Which was the other reason I bowed out...too much 3rd party **** so I had to give up the random stuff that I know nothing about beyond "Hey, that looks really cool!"

I think the reason is that they maybe scaling to (approximate) altmode scale. History is one of my weakest subjects but I believe that those Ironclad warships were much bigger than a locomotive. Sadly I don't think we've ever seen HoS Shockwave stand near Prime to compare robot modes.

If Cyclops's altmode (actually existing Civil War era ironclad warship) was actually to scale with Knight Morpher Commander's (fantasy / steampunk) locomotive altmode, then it would probably have to be a fair bit bigger still: ironclads measured anywhere from 100 ft to over 200 ft.
Personally, I'm loving the scale of this thing: it SHOULD be huge. I like the way the altmode looks, I love the way the 'bot-mode looks, and I've loved HoS since it appeared. I guess that does help the love for MMC's toys: I distinctly remember the months of longing for KMC-01 release after the pre-orders opened: not often was I that eager for a toy-release (and even the minor flaws on the first release KMC-01 didn't stifle my admiration for that product)..
The mini-me sub / Cyclops is just icing on that cake: unexpected, I wouln't have missed it if it wasn't included, but a supremely cool extra feature.
Cyclops was as good as sold to me when the first pictures appeared, and now it's almost here I can't wait to hold and admire it in person. I hope MMC keeps going from strength to strength!

Yeah, I like my scale by bot mode...otherwise Megatron would be the lamest shrimp of all. So Shockwave towering over Prime doesn't work for me...at least conceptually. If that's the way it was in the comic, then what can you do? Other than think the comic is lame then... Image

They were both present in Infestation 2 but not together. Using relative scale to the backgrounds around them, though, I think they were a lot closer in height than the MMC versions.
