I have shaken up the collection thread a bit, after hanging around in some of the others on here. So here's the new deal, with more Va'alue for your shanix!

This first post (this one) has the overall collection, and the art folder and prints/sketches, all in one tidy section, on tidy room, in one untidy country.

The second post (below, or here) has a list with links to posts around the thread where I've rounded-up some of my favourite shots by theme.

There's nothing wrong with having a focus, in your case movieverse, and from the look of things you've gone out of your way to find the most screen accurate versions of many figures (white Demolisher, red Rampage). Feel free to drop by the UK sightings thread in the sightings forum, we're always helping each other out with the best places to find new and, most importantly, cheap stuff. There's already a token German as a regular so you could be our token Italian! Which Uni are you studying at?

Why, thank you!

I do pop in and out of that, and living next to Toys'R'Us in Norwich (I'm at UEA), should allow me to inform of any new arrivals.

(Actually hoping to work for them, so we'll get news even sooner! :P)

The display cabinet is quite empty, but this is due to the fact that most of the figures are up in the UK. I will update around Christmas time, when I can move them back down.
Well, some of them: the main plan was to have a Constructicon shelf (adding Payload and Mixmaster), the other will have to be arranged when I decide what to move.

Thanks again, even if it's just one person, I feel less inadequate now.

Nice collection, I like those cases, I always have dust settling on my tfs, can get so annoying, haha. Need some vacuum treatment.

a trick i use to eliminate glare is to shoot off center and sometimes i place some printer paper behind them as its uneven surface helps break up the light.

but like others have said there is nothing wrong with being picky as long as youre finding what you really like.the worst feeling is buying something and then realizing you really didnt want it so keep up the great work and good luck in school :D

Cheers man!

I also thought that I could just open the cabinet doors.
That would help. :P

Some time around Christmas I'll update with new photos.
I need to complete the Constructicon shelf, and the sword-bearing one.
List of collection is updated though!

It's not a contest to see who has the most figures. Buy what makes you happy.

I am jealous of your shelving. I have to get me some of those the next time I'm at IKEA.

This little guy is awesome.

A couple of old photos from the Norwich shelf.
At the moment, I have Optimus, Kup, Ironhide and Bumblebee (plus Sideswipe in alt-mode) in ready-for-battle mode on the left, facing Hatchet, Sideways, Crankcase, Shockwave and Megatron.
But no camera. :P

Top shelf is Skyhammer (alt) and Terradive on left, Darkmount and Lockdown (alt) on right.
And Classics Grimlock on desk. Because he's cute.

While I won't clog up your thread with my list, I will say that there's nothing wrong with a particular era of toys to have. Nor even mixing and matching G1 with "Armada" and "Prime". If I still had my collection, I would've done that.

Thanks for the comments everyone!

I'd say that I don't really have collecting criteria, apart from what I think looks good.
Kind of on an IDW Wrecker bend at the moment, but I might limit myself to Blurr, Drift, Kup and Perceptor (maybe Guzzle, maybe).

As for the rest, waiting for DOTM Soundwave, to decide whether to complete the Decepticon corner.

I'm keeping these here, because I adore how Optimus looks.
I actually don't have, and don't care, Bumblebee anymore.

Very quick update: the addition of DOTM Leader Sentinel Prime.
I've moved some figures from Italy back to the UK, as I'll be moving house next month (into a studio flat) so I'll have SHELVES! (In Lugnut's voice: GLORIOUS SHELVES!)

Those are some nice commissions you've got there! I've been dying to get something from Nick, be it a sketch, signature, or page from a comic. I assume you met him at a convention in Europe? I wish he'd come stateside so I could get my wreckers stuff signed...

I met him in London last February, yes.
Was going to see him again at Auto Assembly, but can't make it there anymore. :(

I'm sure I'll bump into all of them soon though! I know Simon Furman is coming to Norwich in September, and Andrew Wildman will be in Leeds in November, with his personal graphic novel Horizon.

Thanks for dropping by. ;)

Doing some rearranging, removed the Movieverse display (will redisplay in Italy).

Changed the Prime display too, here's what it looked like:
