Vehicon here and then gone

I know that the fall line of transformers should be hitting stores soon. I had already heard of a couple of you all picking up the odd figure on the east coast. So because the shipping takes so long to get into the stores up here in Alaska I thought I'd peek at what was around on the internet. Ends up that HasbroStore had listed a 2nd release of Prime Vehicon(car) that I wasn't expecting.

Sadly, as Vehicons go, they were all gone like the end of a TFPrime episode. Once again it's back to waiting on long shipping times and driving to remote stores.

I haven't seen a single Vehicon on all my Transformer hunts. I usually check the TRU by Costco because they seem to have a MUCH better selection to choose from. Other then that,Target ain't got anything that pleases me. All though the last time I was there I happened to pick up FoC Shockwave.

I still haven't seen Knockout yet...

I got lucky on the knockout, but he is rare to find up here. I picked mine up at the Muldoon Target; who also had a Vehicon that i failed to pickup around that time. They havn't had eather for months now. I'll snag one up for you if I spot it.

I've seen a couple Hot Shots and Knockouts, but no Vehicons. If Hasbro wasn't so damn incompetent they'd have seen the high demand for it a mile away and put more than one in the case.

I imported the AM versions of Vehicon and Jet Vehicon. Worth every penny. Thinking about ordering another of each.

Okay...I'm not trying to be a jerk here, I'm really not. But, have any of you sat down and done the math?

Time spent? Priceless. (You will never get back the time wasted on fruitless hunts.)
Gas spent? The price of shipping and then some. (You'll spend even more, trust me.)
Empty hands? Sucks.

I know it sucks paying double the price of a figure to get it, but I've had to resort to eBay for items I wanted and after doing all the math, it was easier and cheaper in the long run to eBay the stuff I needed. If it came out at retail later on, oh well. At least I had it, I was happy.

Sooner or later, you're just going to have to cave and go eBay or you're never going to find these guys. And if you're planning on troop building, change plans. This is a shortpacked figure, it's in high demand, and you're going to have to pay a premium for it.

It sounds harsh, cold and sobering, but I'm just being honest with you.

Vehicon: http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_sop=10& ... _PrefLoc=1 (One's @ $29.99 including free shipping.)

Knock Out: http://www.ebay.com/sch/Action-Figures- ... _PrefLoc=1 (One's @ $22.99 including free shipping.)

Rumble: http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=Pri ... _PrefLoc=1 (A little more pricy, but not unreasonable.)

Airachnid: http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=Air ... _PrefLoc=1 (Prices are dropping on her.)

Sergeant Kup: http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=Pri ... _PrefLoc=1 (Prices are more reasonable than I expected.)

Dreadwing: http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=Pri ... _PrefLoc=1 (This fella's pricy, but it's not too much more than what BBTS and TFSource are asking. Plus you'll get it sooner than they get it out.)

I know it sucks paying more than you're used to. I know it sucks to miss out on the thrill of the hunt. But, sooner or later, you're going to have to cave...or you'll miss out altogether. Are you really willing to miss out? Seriously?

Well I happen to live about 5 mins away from my local target, but biking distance is only about 20 mins. So even if I can't find anything I want,I can still pick myself up an ice cold drink and get a good cardio workout while I'm at it.

Money saved on gas: check.

Plus I don't trust eBay all to well so it's all good here.

Havnt spotted a single Vehicon or Airachnid. Maybe I can look deeper now that my FOC Wave 1 is done.

I had been looking for vehicon for months, until Tuesday when my gf called me up at work and said she was at Target holding one in her hands. She was on strict buy on sight orders. So I have technically never seen him in store, still.

But he is good stuff. He really is.

I continue the hunt for him, he screams for companions.

Hey thanks I appreciate it! I think we should have a little more luck after all the stores get their Fall stock out.

It was actually all the surprisingly low prices for Vehicons on Ebay that led me to believe that there might be an additional state side supplier. Of course the Hasbro store was already picked clean by then. Still people are finding ones and twos in stores so I'll keep an eye out myself. I try to only result to ebay and third party for those last "no longer in stores" figures.
