I might have been a little off on the dates..most pre-orders say November, but let's be honest, that' really means early December-ish.

I did the sanding-down shoulder fix, and it works great.

It really does. It makes it so you don't need the 3rd party kit to fix it.

Precisely. And really, seems his new head sculpt is quite nice and doesn't need "fixing" at all, there's really no reason to NOT do the sanding fix.

Put it in a new super cool paintjob, and it still looks unappealing. How did they accomplish this?

Disagree entirely - I think it looks great.

Somebody needs to do a add on kit with a rocket. Also has anybody come up with a fan mode that resembles a bird of prey ?

Well, not everyone's going to like everything.

I like it. I think they did a good job on the colors. Only wish they could have done something with the shoulders. Oh well it's a quick fix

With a super cool gimmick to change the Autobot and Decepticon insignia will be awesome for this figure - something Hasbro should think about.

The shoulder fix is still required? Goddammit Hasbro, one would think that they would have looked into that and have had that fixed. :BANG_HEAD:

I still plan on picking him up to go along with the Sandstorm that I don't have (yet).

cool, just to clarify the G1 double dealer had a condor for one alt mode and ICBM missile launcher truck for the other

If a third party company makes a head based on Overlord and a larger gun (similar to the one made by that one whisk name eludes me), then yeah, I would too.

Wonder if they could have made his jet mode a bit more bird like with a bit of remoulding? New nose cone and a solid canopy, reshape the wings a bit....

I completely agree with you. Regardless if this was a QC issue or a design flaw from the very beginning with the original mould of Blitzwing, Has/Tak should've addressed the issue before going into production with Double Dealer.

Yes they should have. I still find it amazing that there's as much support for the mold as there is. Usually with something this big, the fan-base is quick to condemn, and tar and feather the whole thing.

If anything that speaks to the quality of the rest of the mold I suppose. Decent alt-modes and design I think help sell the figure(s).

I think the support comes from Hasbro daring to make such a complicated triple changer in these days of cut backs. Its not perfect but it quite an achievement.
