The same would work for Rhodey.

Plus as others have said, you never stay dead in the Marvel Universe (Coulson is already back). Rhodey died in the comics (he's in a cloned 2.0 body), Pepper hasn't.

Plus Rhodey's in AOU. Pepper isn't.

i thought Pepper did die in the comics............but likely it was Happy instead.

good points on the rest

She may have (there's a few decades of stories!) but she's currently alive.

Happy isn't.

His son is though!

His son is an Abomination.
'cause we already have too many Hulks.

Teen Abomination. New one. It's lame, like the whole "Superior Iron Man" thing.

What is with the whole superior iron man thing? It just seems like a cash in on the superior spiderman series

Am I like Rogue, destroying everything I touch?

Or am I like Striker's son, toxic even to strongest minds like Professor X?

Do I turn good people bad?

It seems like when I meet peaceful Buddhists and Artists, they become angry and violent toward me by my mere presence.

What have I done wrong? What is wrong with me?

I don't understand. Forgive me for I know not what I do.

You can't have too much of a good thing. Hopefully marvel won't push this too far.

It was to get him back to his pre-sober days.

Admittedly it was starting to get a bit bland so they had to do something with the character.

Oh and ... we're so in the wrong thread for this discussion.

...yeah just remembered we're in the movie thread  was there rumours about Iron Man 4? I saw something yesterday where (apparently) Robert Downey Jr had confirmed it but it's obviously not part of phase 3.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but there's a certain someone a couple of posts above yours who's in the wrong thread for his trademark style of "discussion" as well.

Didn't RDJ sort of say that, "...there isn’t one in the pipe. No, there’s no plan for a fourth Iron Man," during an interview for Variety? Of course, that's just saying that there are no current plans. Nothing's set in stone at this stage, one way or the other.

Well, at least he'll continue to appear on the Avengers films.

RDJ is essentially off-contract. They're signing people up for multiple movie deals and RJD's has run out, CA3 is a one-off deal. Understandably he will want to move on eventually.

Considering I found it in my town before Combiner Wars, I'm gonna say it's got a very wide release. It's just cheap plastic though.

Yeah, most of the toys I've seen so far have looked pretty underwhelming.

Yeah, that was my initial thought about rdj as well, just wanted to run it by people, though I wonder how marvel will approach the subject of recasting it's main characters (tthinking long term)? I mean, unlike the comics, actors age.

As for the toys, all the marvel movie stuff is underwhelming, or at least all the stuff I've seen anyway. I can't help but think they could do a lot better.

I've seen it at my local Wal-Mart, and that is saying something about it's release. Looks like crap in-person though, only way I'd pick up a Hulkbuster figure is if they release one with an inner cavity for a smaller suit (or other figure)

Just to chime in on the death possibility, it wouldn't be Hawkeye as Renner is signed for Civil War.

My bet seeing that during the "closing ranks" scene in the trailer Wanda is with the Team and we don't see Pietro, Quicksilver might not survive.

I didn't think of RDJ's contract being up. In that case I'd expect Rhodey to survive so he can take the tin can mantel.

RDJ is Tony Stark. He'll keep on playing Tony as long as he can. They've already mentioned that after his current deal, if a full contract isn't on the table they'll give him a similar deal that Sam Jackson has to keep around.

Marvel isn't Sony, they aren't looking to reboot the MCU any time soon.

If they want to keep Tony stark in the picture in the grand long term then they are going to have to think about replacements as I said, the characters don't age but the actors do.

Plus I don't think it's quicksilver unless it's got anything to do with fox also having the character

Actors do age, but then again Marvel is looking at a rolling timeline when time in that universe is progressing similar to our own. If they keep it that way RDJ can be in the picture a long time.

Heck after the upcoming Secret Wars, they could have Tony aging and looking for an heir to the suit, which the movies could copy.

It could be Quicksilver specifically because of Fox having the character. They pushed Fox by actually debuting QS and SW first at the end of Winter Soldier before DOFP, (after QS was filmed and way to late to alter that movie) and they are already cancelling (placing on hiatus) the Fantastic Four comics to push Fox on that franchise, so yhea, I could see them telling Josh to axe the speedster to send FOX another message that "We created and control these characters. Do what you want but the more you do that we don't like, the more we'll F#%$ over the source material. We made Sony our #itch, don't think that you aren't next."

If it's cheap, then it's perfect for what I have in mind. Been looking for junkers to practice some experimental airbrushing and weathering techniques, and this looks perfect for the job.

I hear that the articulation is piss-poor as well.

But this guy seems to be making lemonade out of lemons: http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radicons-customs/1035976-custom-hulkbuster.html

Mods, sorry if this is getting off-topic, but I just thought it's kind of relevant to the toy figure. Won't happen again.
