Hi Transformers fans.

Finally I got to register on this awesome Transformers fansite. Been reading it for a Year now. I love it. I'm a big G1 fan. Have all the (first) G1 Comics in Dutch and been a G1 fan since it aired first on Skychannel in the Netherlands.

Now I have a little G1 Collection of the first G1 Toys (Survivors from my Childhood) and have started Collecting some Generation and Masterpiece Figures.

I live in Germany and work in a University IT Department. Have a wonderful Wife who tolerates my Love for Transformers. I mean common, Robots that Transform in a Alternate form... You gotta love it!

Keep up the good news Seibertron!

Welcome GrumpyPrime! I find myself relating to your post a lot as it nearly describes me to a T, except I'm in the states.

And I'm not sure how much my wife "tolerates" my TF Collection anymore. :-s

I hope you like it here, and welcome again! :PEACE:

Hi, I'm Hellscream, and I like transformers;

Been a silent reader since well before the movies; I joined because I was so distraught over not getting the Waruder Botcon set, thinking they were more economically priced than they actually were, so here I am now - without the Waruder pack...

I grew up on a steady diet of Beast Wars, so I consequently never knew about G1, nor did I think vehicles were appropriate alternate modes for transformers :-s . I feel that my motto summarizes my outlook on, and ethos of, my life fairly well; as well as being the basis of most of my posts on here. I'm a 25 year old artist/aspiring game modeler looking for a job/internship, graduated with a BS in game programming (so maybe if anyone knows someone who maybe knows someone you could let me know ;;) )

I believe that MMC's Salvia Prominon is the most exquisite thing in all of life, I love playing Dynasty Warriors 8, and know more about the game than almost anyone. So if you wanna co-op, or want advice feel free to pm me, I will be happy to assist.

P.S. For some reason I cannot get the big grin and crying emoticon thing to work, they keep redirecting to different ones

Welcome, Hellscream! I can offer a possible work-around to the emoticon thing. For some of my favorites, I end up (in Chrome) right clicking and copying the emoticon image URL and pasting them instide the image tags {img} and {/img} with brackets instead of braces. Quote this message to see the following:

Image

I especially like to do this with the scratching chin icon or else it has, in the past, come off as a sort of grimace, like so:

Image
Instead of:
:???:

The emoticons have changed behavior over the years, but if you copy the image URL of the emoticon icon from the right (or the submenu) it should always get you exactly what you want.

(I hope I'm not breaking the Seibertron forums doing this... :-s )

Hi everyone!

I've just started becoming active on this site, but I have been checking this site since the first TFSS reveals(Slipstream, Ultra mammoth, Y'know.)
It was well before Smokescreen was announced as a new member of prime.

I got into Transformers when I was about six, we went to Burger King, and the current toys were the ones based off the Cybertron line. I got Jetfire. My mother mentioned that my uncle had some transformers back in the 80's, and I became intrigued. We would make trips to the toy store, when the Cyberton line was out. My first TF was Cybertron scout class Hardtop. A toy only character easily overlooked by many, but I loved it. I gave him the highest rank of my Decepticons until I finally got a Megatron, and I brought Him down to second in command, a position he still holds today. (I know, weird, but I'm sentimental.) Then, the movies were announced, and naturally I enjoyed it, and all the sequels. Yes, even ROTF. Eventually I discovered The Transformers wiki, and it's humorous informality kept me interested in the franchise and it's history. Back when I was little, the Hasbro website had a few episodes of G1 and beast wars, and it was easy for me to accept different transformers universes coexisting. I collected from every line that came out between Cybertron and current, (I even found a few Energon figures left over. As of 6-21-15, I have 215 Transformers, and I'm looking at two more on ebay right now. My 100th transformers was the centerpiece to the redecoed Energon Superion Maximus as ROTF Superion, Silverbolt. My 200th was Generations leader Jetfire, who is still my favorite character.

Hope to have a good time here!

Hello, fellow fan. I personally feel that, for the overall, Cybertron was Hasbro's strongest and best-implemented series. The quality was incredible, thick durable plastic, simple - straight forward transformations good for kids and collectors, a solid gimmick, above-average poseabliity, beast-formers car-formers, combiners, mini-cons, and Primus 8)

If you haven't gotten Optimus and Wingsaber from Cybertron, I highly recommend getting them immediately

Hello! I agree with all your points, looking back, I got into Transformers at the perfect time. I don't have Wingsaber, but I do have the redeco from the movie line, Wingblade. Same thing, right? I do intend to get Optimus, but with everything coming out this year he'll have to wait.
But I do Have Primus...

Thanks for making me feel welcome!

No problem, and yes he is; basically pull the chest out, transform his legs into vehicle form and raise the arms all the way above his and straighten them and there should be a prong in the middle of his abdomen to combine to optimus. The detachable guns go on primes heels, so don't lose those.

Oh yeah. Have him 100% complete, great figure. Minus the hands, but it doesn't detract from the figure itself.

I can't believe I'm actually carrying a conversation with someone over the internet. This is kinda' cool.

Indeed, this is the good that technology could truly do for us. I tend to flip-flop on my opinion of the hands. Yes they don't look very good as hands, but they don't look that bad, and they are optional, so I can't really hold it against the figure (plus the slide out motion is so cool).

As botcon just closed, you might want to scour ebay for one. I would make it a priority - so long as it isn't exorbitant - as the combined mode is truly impressive. Just the weight alone, I believe it is somewhere around a few pounds, It can't hold a large variety of poses, but it is a sight to behold.

Just my opinion though, but as you said you grew up with cybertron, consider putting effort into getting one, oh, and Armada Unicron too (I believe there is a rule somewhere about owning Armada Unicron :-$ ).

Thanks, I'll have to look. Eventually, when Hasbro slows down the amount of awesome figures they're putting out, I'm going to look for all the figures I missed out on on their first run.(That includes Unicron).

Hi Burn! I'm not very technologically savvy, and I'm still trying to figure out how to take a picture and put it into the signature area, I was wondering if you could let me know.

First step is to get yourself a photo sharing account. Most people use Photobucket.com

From memory they have the tools necessary to crop and resize once you upload something.

Once it's uploaded it gives you all the necessary code to copy and paste into your Signature (under Control Panel).

There was a thread around where people offered to make signatures for people. Not sure when it was last active though.

Hello all, I recently took an interest in another retro love of mine GI JOE via Sideshow Collectibles and decided to sign up on here for nostalgia sake as I also loved TF.

I grew up with G1 and Beast Wars. I read the IDW and Dreamwave comics but my interest for comics in general dropped completely as I got "older" so subsequently I know nothing about what's out there now.

Well that's it in a nutshell.

I agree, but it's just a lot of work to keep up with it. In the mid 2000s I tried to follow the Avengers revamp with the whole super power registration storyline but I had to move across the country for work and I never picked it back up. At the same time I also got into some darker more serious themed comics such as Lore and Loveless but those fell off too haha.

Hello everyone!

I had an account on here a while back when I was like, 12 or so and before I had acclimated myself to the actual Internet. Looking back on it now, it was rather embarrassing, and I figured since I'm a little older and descending the Transformers slippery slope yet again, I should start fresh.

I'm Austin from Washington State. Though I was aware of Transformers before the 2007 movie, Bayformers was my formal introduction to the fandom and from then on I was hooked. Later on, I became a fan of Animated as that rolled around - I liked the highly stylized art and character arcs, especially Sari's. My newfound obsession led me to TFWiki, where I eagerly gobbled up all there was to know about the franchise. Most of my knowledge of Transformers has been obtained through this osmosis.

Transformers was also my gateway fandom, if you will, to other mecha shows like Mobile Suit Gundam and Neon Genesis Evangelion, as well as the mecha genre as a whole. Eventually I would set Transformers aside to focus on other giant robots as I grew older and became more disenfranchised with the Bayformers which had quickly become the face of the brand.

But after a while, I came into contact with Transformers again through Tumblr. A lot of it was raunchy slash done by a friend, but I think that part of it was also seeing bits of the new comics featuring an increased female Cybertronian presence which appealed to my feminist views.

One thing led to another, and now I'm back in the fandom for the time being, drawing fanart and trying to catch up on what I've missed. So howdy, folks!

Yo! great to meet you, have you jumped on the Combiner Wars hype train yet? Bay-formers are certainly a subjective design, I love them, most of the designs are quite interesting, and was as refreshing a change as animated was. I may not have liked the show very much, but it yielded several excellent figures.

See you 'round the boards maybe 8)

Hi everyone,

my name is Daniel, I'm 37 years old & from Germany.

I've known seibertron.com for some years now and visited it from time to time, mostly to watch the unbelievably detailed galleries of the old 80's Transformers.

Normally, I'm a Masters of the Universe collector, but I still own my Transformers from my childhood. For example Devastator, which is my favorite next to Optimus Prime. Some days ago, I have pre-ordered the upcoming Combiner Wars Devastator because it looks sooo great! I'm really looking forward to place it next to my childhood Devastator.

Now I've joined this HUGE site because I wanted to ask a Transformers-related question in the forum (which I will do right away ;) )
