You forgot a black smoke that makes mechanical noises.

Od, I think I heared a oldschool Godzilla rore, and someone shouting something with a lion!
Well I heared they were making a voltron Movie, and as for as I know there is something with a lion as a main carecter.
But it could be Neon Genasis Evangelium the Movie.

I have watched this trailer multiple times now with headphones to figure what is being said..

1) No Godzilla roar at all
2) He shouted "It's alive... it's huge" not a lion

Somehow I doubt Abrams would make the Evangelion.

Well, word from inside the company is that CLOVERFIELD is a giant monster movie, featuring something that's being referred to internally as “The Parasite".

Could be either Voltron or Chtulhu. Wikipedia also says it could be a spin-off movie for Lost.

Oh, JJ Abrams, you crazy bastard.

Chtulhu has it's own movie coming out soon.

Deja vu!

CB, you might as well give up on telling them; they'll be proven wrong eventually.

You know what would be cool?

If it was the new Incredible Hulk movie, and that was a scene from Hulk and Abomination's big final smack down.

The Cthulhu stuff is totally unrelated to Cloverfield aka. The Parasite aka. That Movie People Can't Stop Talking About. There were two viral sites around Ethan Haas (Wiki/Google it) that were inexplicably tied into the Cloverfield "site" but are for a different movie entirely, incidentally.

This isn't Godzilla, Gamera, or Voltron either.

Don't waste your time. People are going to still continue their unsubstantiated claims that it is one of those films.

I can't remember what I was thinking when I wrote that, other than "MAYBE IT'S A ROBEAST lol."

But it's JJ Abrams, and DAMN he can keep a secret.

Other people thought of Gamera? Weird; that was the first thing I thought of and figured I'd be completely alone on it.

The roar sounds like no other roar I have heard..
It reminds me a little of the "smoke monster" from lost.
I guess as time rolls on we will find out more.

Yeah, it is being filmed from the "people's perspective" with hand held cameras.

Somehow I doubt Godzilla, The Hulk or Voltron would be shot in this manner.

How soon we forget the pathetic tendiness that was the Blair Witch Project.

That kills any desire I had to see it.

Blech.

In this very thread, no less, though the guy butchered the name's spelling.

While there's always the slim albeit incredibly doubtful chance that this could be some franchise Paramount already has in the works, it's not going to be any existing Japanese monster franchise, period. Exclamation point. Question mark? Something like a Godzilla movie directed by JJ Abrams would be impossible to sneak under the radar of the collective kaiju and toku fandom.

It is called "Blue Harvest".

Where did people come up with the name Cloverfield? Is that the name of the city in which it takes place?
