Is this one of the repercussions of TRUs closure? Mattel is going to shutter their factory in Mexico too!

Will this make them vulnerable to Hb's "hostile" take over? From what I heare, only Barbie and Hotwheels sell.

Well that sucks for the staff, but I don't know if hasbro would make a move on Mattel.

Doesn't help that Mattel have made some... questionable brand change choices over the past few years. Good example -

- Mattel creates Monster High and sells an almost record number of dolls.
- Off the back of the success, they create Ever After High, with different designers. It flops.
- Mattel move the Ever After High designers over to Monster High. Cue small design changes.
- Sales of Monster High drops.
- Decreased sales result in cheapening of Monster High doll range.
- Monster High range tanks.
