No. It's stupid. I see it as Moffet capitalising on the "popularity" of the Weeping Angels to neuter the Daleks and establish his precious Angels as the scariest DW bad guys of all time.

And other questions.

The President? What happened to a Supreme Dalek?

The Predator? What happened to The Doctor being The Coming Storm and all the other names the Daleks had for him?

It just feels like this should have been a telemovie set outside of the continuity we've had for the last few years.

Screw 'em. It's essentially aired in all the major markets (well except Australia, but it was available online legally for us)

Guess I'm more laissez faire on the Who-verse than you are.

I'm also a member at OG, but I haven't posted much. I think my SN there is Spike, or Rogue.

I have the full first season of Torchwood and I enjoyed it.

I also have the first Sara Jane Adventures which is really refreshing and a great fun show to watch.

I didn't watch full season and I have no interest to watch that.It made me bore thats why now I dont like this series.

So ... they're gone. And while i'm happy to see the last of Amy, I have to give Moffat credit. He did a good job. (Though lets see how long it lasts before he breaks down and brings them back, even if for a guest appearance, and even though they're locked away and he can't reach them)

River Song wasn't as annoying as she normally is.

The Angels however ... have lost their scare factor. So well done there Moffat, you took an original scary creature, over-saturated it, and ruined it. Though the Statue of Liberty as an Angel? I think the Ghostbusters would like to have a word ...

Matt Smith to me, really stood out in this episode.

So are we on a break now until the Christmas special?

I've said it elsewhere, I'll say it here. The Statue of Liberty as an Angel was so flippin' stupid I had to pause my tape and walk away from the TV for a moment. :HEADHURTS:

I saw it coming I'm afraid. It was pretty pointless.

Why? My VCR works just fine. Why replace it if it works well?

And again, the Statue of Liberty as an Angel was stupid.

Um...they haven't appeared since "The Pandorica Opens". The ones that showed up in "A Good Man Goes to War" and "Closing Time" were the regular Cybermen of the regular universe.

Mind you I said costume, however they've all use the same costume since 2006.
"They resembled the Cybus Cybermen physically, but their chest logo featured a simple circle instead of the Cybus logo." Meaning, the costume designers, re used the costume, more or less, replacing the cybus logo with a blank slate and changing a few minor details.

Loved the Christmas special!

After a couple of years of being very disappointed with Dr Who, I'm now hopeful of things picking up.

The promise of a new intro intrigued me with the theme supposedly more reminiscent of classic DW. I thought otherwise. BUT ... they threw The Doctor's face in which was a classic thing!

Also loving the look of the new Tardis. It's what I'm use to, gives it a more classic but updated look.

Jenna Louise Coleman ... well, we got our answer of how she's connected to the character she portrayed in her first appearance, they're one and the same. But how? Well that's going to be the big mystery for next year (Rani? Romana? Another Time Lord scattered across time?)

But Jenna herself ... absolutely love her! Hopefully it doesn't turn into another companion-falls-in-love-with-The-Doctor thing but she's certainly the cutest companion!

So Moffat, you've played your card, let's see if you can keep it up and redeem the last few years.

Haven't watched the special yet, but I have checked out its wiki entry in preparation, and...

Well, let's just say that when the title was announced, I had a feeling that it involved a classic Who monster. Turns out I was half right.

They did something akin to Clara in the Fourth Doctor serial 'City of Death', where an alien was scattered through time. I wonder...
