Well I thought I'd be able to pull through it ok but it looks like I won't so Botcon I guess wasn't such a good idea now..

Anyhoo...Let me exsplain. I live in Michigan. It SUCKS here. There are no Jobs anymore, not really anyway, the roads are bad, Cops ticket you for the stupidest **** just to make another buck (I wish I could hand out peices of paper and demand money for what I feel is wrong) the Jobs that we DO HAVE here are being outsourced, Ford is buying out alot of their Employees...AHHGG! It just sucks trust me.

If any of you remember you might have noticed not too long a ago I tried selling items, Holding a Raffle for a MP Scratchbuild all because my bank F*ed me and my family and because of an error they made $800+ dollars was just taken from My account from them (Comerica are theives!!! DO NOT TRUST THEM!!!) and I ended up with no money for Botcon or rent either. Any money I have left is to feed my family untill things just start having to be scraped from the bottom of the barrel.

Well since that happened it's just gotten worse. I have no money for this past months rent and the comming months rent is soon due (Less then a week and a half) and since I closed out what was left of my Bank account I cannot pay the bills and that includes the o?nline o?nes in all aspects. Yes...this even means Transtopia.

In March TT will have to either be paid for for the next alloted time period or close down for good and trust me, it has NOTHING to do with you fans. You have all been great and have come above and beyond when i needed it most.

Am I asking that now? NO...I'm tired...I just want to let it go...let everything go...Maybe I should see a quack. (Yea, that's more money I DON'T have)

I'm depressed...I feel beaten. I feel like i have pretty much lost it all...

So why am I telling you?

Because beleive it or not you guys have all become my friends and some of you more then that...like family.

Good news is that I have been in talks with Ryan from Seibertron.com and TT just might be assimulated into their site. Sorry if that displeases any of you.

So for the final time....it's been a great ride. You've all been great and I hope to see you all continue with your works of art. Because that's what it is we do here. ART. I don't care what anyone says...we're artists.

But like all Artists we sometimes have to starve. Wish me and my Family luck. That's all i ask of you.

So for now, Enjoy TT for the next few remaining months. Go mad if you want...Hell I want to go NUTZ!!!

Anyway. Goodbye all, for now. Here's hoping that TT will have a future.

Your friend.
William Koshorek aka TFmaster

Too be honest, I don't think so. It may be best if Transtopia is assimilated into Seibertron, if only so that TF-Master finally doesn't have to worry about it anymore. Maybe that's for the best. :(

Hey TF,

Sorry to hear about all that's going on, and I can feel you on some points. I live in Mi. too. Melvindale to be exact. And its true our Michigan economy sucks right now.
There is the threat of lay-offs at my job (I work for Wayne County) hell, Wayne County hasn't had ANY lay-offs in 20 years...so whats that tell you?
I have 10 years seniority there....and I'm at the bottom of the list, so that means I'm the first to go if they do lay-off. If they do, the wife and I are going south to start over.

You're not alone man, it may seem like it at times, but God is always with you, even when you think he is not. Always remember that.

I'll keep you and your family in my prayers, and I hope all works out for the good for you in the end.

If you need some help, contact me, and I'll do my best to do so.

TFM, so sorry to hear of you situation, let us know if there is anything we can do to help, we're here for you like the Autobots are there for Optimus in times of need. I know that sounds corny but its true, none of us would've been able to share so many great ideas were it not for this site. Keep hope man our prayers are with you.

Transtopians, lets not sit idly by, while we may not be able to get TFM a job or help him support his family, but we can save Transtopia. If we all pitched in a couple bucks we can raise enough money to pay for the site. No one here wants this site to be closed so lets do what we can

Man, this really sucks. Sorry TFman, I hope you're able to get things together. I wish I could offer you some real support aside from moral support, but hey, I'll be here for you buddy.

I could contribute money as well, but I have no idea how much it costs to run this site. If people are really interesting in donating some money, please send me an email at

devastator@tfmaster.com

I like seibertron.com a lot but I really think it's important for kitbashers to have a site like this. If this site is to keep going as it is right now, we'd need more than donations. This site has a serious lack of staff. I'm the only one that adds custom figure galleries, new articles/features, and graphics. Jaf is the only on working on 2D galleries. TFmaster is the only one spending money on the site. The board moderators like Greyryder have been fantastic, and I appreciate everyone that visits here. What we really need though are people to help adding new material like the galleries, and hopefully we could find someone that actually understands all of this PHP, post nuke, and board software, 'cause right now the website is pretty much on autopilot.

I'm not blaming anyone for what's going on with the site right now except for maybe myself. I should have been looking for new staff a while ago. Even if we do get the money and TFM's approval to keep the site going, we won't be able to grow without new staff willing to spend some of their free time on the site. It really wouldn't take much too much free time either. A new gallery here, a new article there, a new review once in a while, that's all it would take.

If anyone is interested in either helping out the website staff (board staff has been great, we don't need anyone else for the boards right now), or donating money, please contact me at:

What kind of staff do you need? I don?t know anything about code. The only Web page program I know is Dreamweaver, so I don]t know how much help I can be. As an Illustrator and Graphic Designer, I do know Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign if those kinds of skills can help, but when it comes to web design, Dreamweaver is it for me.

Best of luck to you and your family TFM! I hope you get back on your feet very soon.

As I said before, I?m willing to help out however I can. Honestly, I?d rather keep the site the way it is than merge with another. Transtopia has cut a niche in fandom and I?d hate to see that go. It?s not the biggest website out there but it certainly is the best IMO.

I totally agree that TFM, Devastator and the other staff members need help. Things have seemed a bit stagnant around here for the past several months. From TFM?s post and the ones before, it seems obvious he needs a break from running the site. Which is completely understandable! I think there?s enough dedicated members here to take over the reins. Echoing Devastator?s comments, I think it would be great to have new articles, reviews, etc. I have ideas myself that I?d like to contribute.

I think a lot of us just don?t understand what it takes to run a website though. For those of us that are ignorant on the subject, what does it take to keep this site running? How much does it cost? How can we help with the galleries? I?d love to help with content! Granted I have never worked with PHP, post nuke, and board software before but that doesn?t mean I couldn?t learn it given the opportunity.

Again TFM, I hope everything gets better for you soon.

Like I said in the other forum; I live in Michigan too; and I know just how bad the job market is (I'm currently unemployed too...)

But I'm really trying to find a job in this wasteland of no-opportunities; and if I find something; I'll definately help out with site operationg costs and send in money.

As for running the board; I am already a mod; but my powers are pratically useless since I can only do minor things in threads that are either "open-to-the-public" or have no mod currently.

I have experience as a site administrator at a forum; so I do understand how this operates for the most part. I'm not perfect; but I have a good understanding of forum operations.

If there's anything I can do to help Dev; please let me know.

I'll send ya an e-mail too; just in case you miss my post here.

I just caught the front page and my heart sank. I'm also in a tight financial spot myself; I'm basically supporting myself and my girlfriend on a temp admin job, and it's hard going; I have no idea what it costs to run Transtopia, but when you're watching the pennies as much as it sounds like you're having to, TFM, any non-essential expenditure makes you cringe, wondering if that's gonna be the bill that puts you under.

Best of luck, mate, I truly hope something good comes up for you soon, you really deserve the break after everything you've had to put up with.

As for the site...
I've not been on much the last few weeks, as I've been away quite a bit (spending more money I didn't have, but if I hadn't done it I'd've gone Chicken Oriental), but I'm back now, and keen to help in any way I can.

I've got some HTML experience, but PHP, MySQL etc, is foreign to me. However, I'm definitely up for learning if I can, no matter how many brain cells I burn out in the process.
I'm going to have a trawl to see what info I can pick up on the subject, and if there are any good tutorial sites and the like around. If anyone knows of any such sites, please post here or PM me or something.

Dev, I'll e-mail you too, just in case.

I don't check in for the first time EVER and I find out my home away from home won't be here! I am sorry to hear about the downs that life has been handing you my friend. But there is light at the end of every tunnel, and a silver lining on every dark cloud. You have but one way to go when you hit bottom. I hope everything gets better for you my friend. And as we are all here, friends, fans, transtopians, let us konw if we can help.

I go offline for less than 2 days, and the next thing I know the sky is falling . . . .

TFM, I really hate to hear of how things are going for you right now. I'm kinda the new guy on the block, and I just want to say I've had a blast here. I've met some really cool guys (including yourself), and I hate to see this site go.

As a new "staffer," anything that can be done on my end in terms of graphics (I'm still new to web design), I have always been here to pitch in. It would seem that there would be a way to keep the site up and running though on its own some way.

I will pray for you and your situation and I'm here to help out any way that I can. I wish you well! If you ever wish to contact me, you know how! Take care and may God have the richest blessings on you and your family during this rough time.

Hey guys!

I thought I'd jump in on some of these conversations to alleviate some concerns and to help out TFmaster.

If a "merger" of sorts does happen between Transtopia and SEIBERTRON.com, it will be with the entire fandom's best interests in mind, particularly yours.

I've known TFmaster for a few years now after meeting through a mutual friend of ours at OTFCC 2003. Our mutual friend is Ultra Magnus (aka "Q") who used to do a bunch of kitbashes with Gundams repainted or remolded into various Transformers characters. I've followed Transtopia since it opened in 2004 shortly after I launched the Demiurgic City creative section on SEIBERTRON.com. I was a little envious of the attention Transtopia was getting while Demiurgic City wasn't taking off like I had hoped.

Fast forward to 2006 ... TFmaster is at a point now where he needs some help to give you guys the best opportunities to showcase your hard work. TFmaster and I became pretty good friends at BotCon 2006 and we saw some mutual benefits from a possible merger. I was quite honored that he came to me for help and I'm more than willing to help provide you guys with an online home that is customized to your needs as a community.

If TFmaster is one of the best kitbashers out there, then I'm probably his equal in the world of programming in the Transformers community. Getting the opportunity to work with the rich content and incredible resources that the Transtopia community has proudly assembled is very exciting to me. Again, assuming everything goes smoothly here over the next few months, I'm really looking forward to showcasing your hard work on SEIBERTRON.com and giving you guys the exposure you deserve.

I'm trying to get FTP access to the files on this server so that I can setup a proper test site on the SEIBERTRON.com servers, but we don't seem to have the FTP information readily available. If we can't come up with the FTP information, I'll probably just end up writing a script that will copy over the files to the site ... it won't be as easy for me to do it that way, but I'll do whatever I can to preserve the images and content on this website.

I've read that some of you have expressed concerns about possibly merging with SEIBERTRON.com. I will be happy to take the time to answer any questions or concerns that you guys might have about this possible merger. It's kind of scary for me on this end as well because I want this possible merger to be smooth as possible for everyone involved with the Transtopia community.

I have to jet for now ... I'll check back in later tonight when I get home from work.

Sincerely,
Ryan Yzquierdo

Glad you decided to post in this thread. I'd say the biggest issue people are concerned with is if the site itself will remain intact or if it will just be a section on Seibertron.

yeah id like the site how it is as much as possable, everyone has contributed, Dev has made all the galleries and pepie put the site together along with everyone else who contributed,
i think its success has been down to it being a kitbash site with general sections, not a general transformers site with a kitbash section

in this thread we found the extra staff we needed and web hosting so is there something else needed
