Old School Seibertron.com Forum shout out

I guess I should've made this my first post. A while ago I used to be a forum member Nova-ting Ranger, and I used to post a bit here and there, and especially in the old Seibertron.com Building threads.

I was just wondering who is still here from the bad old days of rampant spam, Roddy's binges and Spengs and Co.'s mis-adventures, etc. I see some people made it back, have gone on to Modship. And Supreme, nice to see you rockin' that sig after all these years. Oh yeah, props for Ryan for keeping everything going all these years.

Nova-Ting? I don't think I've heard that screen name in forever.

As for the sig... I never found anything better to use. :)

Thanks, Nova, as if I wasn't feel old enough as it was already. :D

Welcome back?

Thanks. I'd left like years ago, but one day I get email out of the blue about my account being tested. I was really surprised to see that's still here after all those years (Hence the Godmaster rank), so I figured I'd stop on by and see who's around and talk Transformers again. Good hearing from you. How NZ treating you these days?

Yeah, it's a classic, and just perfect. And a Foo Fighters reference (They were the first band I ever saw live. At the Argon theater in Chicago, early 90's). For brief while when the first Spider-man movie came out, Morph hooked me up with a kick-ass Spider-man (Ben Reilly style) Sig, and then a Mod (I forget which) gave me the name Spider-man for the forums. Oh, and dude, not that I want to bring up bad blood, but weren't you banned? It's nice and good to see you back though. ;)

Also, Editor, if you're reading this: I have a feeling you where around back then. Something about your posting style feels familiar. Oh great Sig and name combo for a mod. Are you from the UK? I could be thinking about Darth Shrapnel. I know he was mod back around the time I left, and I think he recently change his screen name to that at the time.

Also, does anyone know a place that hosts sigs for free?

Also, has anyone seen/heard from Tallmook and his midgets? Or Dr. Spengler?

IIRC Morph got banned.

I don't know what happened to Tallmook.

The last time I checked Dr. Spengler left and/or got banned here and now posts at TFArchive.

You can use use http://www.photobucket.com to host your sig for free.

To be honest, I prefer things the way they are now. It got rather tiresome with the constant infighting (from both members and moderators).

Nah, I was never banned. Though I'm sure I've had my hand in banning people.

I'm about to move to one of the coldest parts of the country. >_<

But I guess people just move on, I've seen Spengs post on TFA, and I have no idea what happened with Tallmook, though I did hear he was getting tired of some of the fisty cuffs that were back here in the day.

I often wonder what happened to Blood Red, I remember him because he used to lament posting from a Dreamcast or whatever it was. Hehe.

But life moves on, I mean, its like the youngins' are taking hold, as nature intended. But we're not quite obselete jsut yet. We have more money, for example, so we can get more toys.

I can't say I wasn't around back before you would have stepped away, but back then would have been when I was just lurking, so it likely is just a coincidence, unless it could have been on a different forum.

Name avatar wise, thanks, but the name is one I've used on a number of sites and prior to Simon Pegg's role of the same name on Dr. Who, which led to me using the those pics once I signed up for HMW. As for being a Mod, do you know something I don't? As far as I know I'm not one.

UK. Yes and no, Born there but have lived in Canada since 1979.

so yhea........ while I'm not sure why my style is familiar to you, thanks for the shout out, and maybe in future conversations you'll figure it out. :P

Thanks!

Ya know, I'm kind of not surprised that Tallmook vanished. I always knew that the midgets would revolt when he used to torture them by drinking beer in front of them while they were in their cages. Also, I'm sure the off note singing didn't help either. Morph was cool, but I think he got swept up in the drama. I'll miss my partner in Simpson crime in Spengler.

There it is. I think I saw you at another forum while I was lurking. Also, love the Dr. Who reference.

Hey I thought I remembered you. How have you been?

Ahem to expendable income.

Yeah, what did happen to Blood Red? I hope he is posting somewhere on PS3.

Also, it did get kind of bad when I left. Props to the new generation for keeping it cool. Oh man, do you remember the Seibertron.com Buildings? I can only imagine the sheer horror Ryan's wallet felt he had to pay for all that spam. You know, I think that's where like 35% of my post count came from.

Yeah, you relived the 80's on this sight, and now we're all re-living the 90's, so yeah.

To show my age, a lot of us "old skoolers" actually have "new" sign up dates, as there was a major site crash back in the day and we had to sign back up. I forget which year that happened.

In fact, as I recall, there was someone who when Ryan started teh site, managed to sign up before Ryan and so Ryan was member #2! Hehe. I think it was either someone who I probably shouldn't name or Supreme Convoy who got #1.

I know there was a board crash late in 2002.. That is when I originally registered.. The crash happened and I had to re register..

I know that I had lurked back then a bit, but for the life of me, I can't remember if i had actually signed up before the crash or not.

Oh yeah, I think Ryan "jacked" his spot back. Also does anyone remember registering and then found out that you had "modship" by accident? It was cool 15 minute power trip.
I first signed up when I was 16.... which is 11 years ago. Wow. Also, that account must've been 75% spam by volume. Also, whatever happened to the "After Dark" fourm?

I think there was a few crashes actually.

I do remember when I found this site it only had like 50 members and when I tried to register it wouldn't let me, I could only lurk for a few months, then there was a crash and I could sign up after. That was in 2000ish.

Then I think Ryan moved servers and there was another "re-register".

Anyway, we're all here now and that's the main thing. :KREMZEEK:

Dammit, I come back her again on a whim, find a topic I might actually know people in straight away...but it's for the proper old-schoolers, not the kids from the awkward middle period like me.

Dear any old school posters of seibs: when I joined this board, you were my heroes. Well, not that belphy guy, he was a dick. But the rest of you were ace. Most of you won't know me, I pretty much lurked until half of you had quit or joined the band, but you gave me laughs, info and protips. Thanks for creating epic internet moments I still remember years and years later.

Nostalgia ftw. I'm off to check the bookmarks of all those secret attack clubhouses next.
