Now don't take it as the Staff running out of ideas, we haven't, far from it, but we're opening up the floor to you guys to throw your ideas into the ring.

Don't stop with the ideas though, if you find something on the site isn't working right, let us know as well. It's a big site, there's probably a bug or two here and there so if you find it, let us know.

This is your chance to help make Seibertron.com even better.

My idea:

When you are doing an update to a story start a new thread. Nobody wants to read comments that are 2-3 weeks old. Nobody wants to scroll through "see an additional 136 comments" just to see if someone responded to theirs. I beg you guys to stop doing that add on stuff. ;)

the case i find this in is those transformation sequence artwork things from thingamadoodah's blog. then again, i gues they're not really big enough "news" to warrant an own topic...maybe?

The ability to "favorite", "like", "thumbs up", or "+1" a post on the forums.

not to social media just a "x people marked this as a favorite" button, to show support for good ideas/posts without actually having to reply

right, i see what you have done, unfortunately you cannot upload from your PC directly to your signature (*quiet rage about that fact*), and the image has to be from a website. i.e. upload it to photobucket, and then (i believe) there might be an option to give you the BBCode to put the image in. (the images in my siggy are fom an adoptables website called dragoncave, where it givs you the url and img code for your dragons.)

If you get that to work, have a read of our sig guidelines.

You might want to have a read too ArmadaPrime.

 uummm...:/...are the dragons ok, even though there are more than one?
i've seen other members do the same, actually it was through someones sig that i found dragoncave... :-( t'would be a shame if they were unallowed, also a bit wierd seeing as i have had them (or at least, had an assortment of dragons) for quite possibly over a year without anyone mentioning it....

Like the guidelines says, one image per sig.

Notice i'm just pointing things out and not actually telling you to do anything about it?

As for others, sometimes they slip through the cracks because we have much more important things to deal with.

Not liking the new look Seibertron. A smaller screen that takes an age to load. What was wrong with the old look???

New changes don't affect load time at all. If anything, it's less code, less graphics ... should load faster if anything. Programming for the site is the same as it was before. Only cosmetic changes.

Old look was outdated ... been in use for about 2 years or so. Time for it to go.

New design isn't 100% set in stone ... I'll be making tweaks as I go.

after having basically sat here for a few minutes going onto random pages and the like, just to look at the redesign, i have to say it's growing on me. I quite like it. Thankyou for the work you put in. :)

However, I am not a massive fan of the new home page. Primarily, there is not (at least that i can see) a scroller thing on the rotating news bit at the top. Seems petty, I know, but it can get a bit annoying if you notice a link, go to click it, but just as you get there it's gone with no way to get back bar waiting for a fair while sometimes...

Overall though, it's nice. Especially the optimus and megatron background :D , love that.

Thank you for the compliment. I know the new design is NOT perfect. There are some tweaks and feedback that need to be implemented. It is a ton of work to roll out a new design. I have spent just about every waking hour for the past week working on this, in fact I worked from 11am yesterday morning until 7:30am this morning getting this ready enough that I could launch it by December 1st (I took a 2 hour break during that 20.5 hour marathon).

This was something that I couldn't get to look right yesterday or the day before so I cut it out from the launch until I have more time to work on it. I 100% agree with your statement and am aware that it is an absolute must for a rotating spotlight on the home page. Thank you for the constructive feedback. I appreciate this greatly!

I'm assuming you must be on a monitor with a large enough resolution to enjoy that little bit. I like it as well ... :)

Yeah, they make th screen small and in order to get the screen normal-ish I must zoom out 25%

It is really rather awesome, if sometimes a little grainy on my screen. :P

But seriously, i think i speak for everyone here when i say that i really appreciate all the work you, and the rest of the time, put into this site. The sheer amount of dedication, and general awesomeness of basically everything you do literally astounds me. The hours you put in, as you mention, are crazy, and, well, i can see just how much work was put into this overhaul. I want to deeply thank you for all that you do. :APPLAUSE:
and, while i'm here, i must compliment you on the sheer brilliance that is the picture in your signature. Love it. :D

EDIT(s): 1) darn it that littl tounge emote still isn't working, at least for me. Don't suppose you could put that on the to-do list if it isn't already seibs? ;)
2) also, i really love the thing that is on the hoomepage slideshow thing for the galleries of blak shadow and junkheap. That cool little design at the right is great! (with, like, the quarter circle and stuff... :) )

Not a gripe about the layout, but requesting a few alterations if at all possible.

1.) Header and footer remain static instead of relative. The menu bar and the bottom feedback bars lag and sometimes get stuck on scrolling while browsing from a phone or using a fast scroll feature on the computer.

2.) the right sidebar (not where we see the news, but the one that hosts the "Find me on Double click Ad banner"). Could you move that banner to the bottom. It being so far out to the right pushes a majority of the content into a tighter (less real-estate) area than it was with the old design. It makes it hard to read some articles/etc especially with browsing on a mobile or tablet device.

Thanks
