It's mean giant citybot that transforms into a Mecha-Godzilla dinosaur thing.

Oh, well I thought that it had a double meaning, like:

Megatron = a type of atom particley thingy,
Swindle = a scam,
Topspin = when a car crashes, turns over and spins on the roof,
Slingshot = a Y shaped instrument with flexible materiel in-between the top split,
Wheeljack = a lock that fits over a wheel and prevents it from moving

maybe a decepticon thats tripped over ;)

Nope. Megatron is basically another word that means nothing.

godzillabot wrote:Topspin = when a car crashes, turns over and spins on the roof,

Again, no. Topspin is when a ball, when thrown, spins downward as if it were rolling.

godzillabot wrote:Wheeljack = a lock that fits over a wheel and prevents it from moving

You're thinking of a boot. A wheeljack...again, is nothing. It probably comes from the term "jack" which would be an object that lifts up a car so that repairs can be done on the underside of it, particularly changing the wheels.

Okay I feel really stupid. #-o Anyway, yeah sorry about the "Topspin" thing (I'm not a sports term junkie  )

It's a pun; "Gee, Axe Us" Since everyone working on the Marvel UK Comics at the time was in danger of being fired. Or something along those lines.

It's not that I'm the talking TFwiki...it's that I basically just repeat everything I've read on the TFwiki. If it goes down, all I can tell you is stuff I remember off the top of my head. Which is not a lot.

Unicron confuses me, so I have many questions.

-Isn't Unicron a multiversal singularity?

-Does the Unicron vs. Primus story hold true to every universe or not?

-If so, does that mean the Primacron backstory is retconned and doesn't hold true anymore?

-If Unicron only exists in one universe at a time, why did one of his heralds (can't remember if it was Hook, Line, or Sinker) tell Galvatron that a "different Unicron" existed?

-What's the official explanation for the lack of continuity between Energon and Cybertron in the Unicron trilogy?

-How does Unicron keep coming back if he's a multiversal singularity?

And then The Fallen...

I read on a wiki that ROTF The Fallen is the same guy as the Herald of Unicron Fallen. That seems crazy. Is it true?

Yes.

Treetop Maximus wrote:-Does the Unicron vs. Primus story hold true to every universe or not?

While it hasn't been mentioned in every continuity, there's no reason to assume it hasn't.

Treetop Maximus wrote:-If so, does that mean the Primacron backstory is retconned and doesn't hold true anymore?

Pretty much. Best bet is to just assume Primacron was taking credit for stuff he didn't do.

Treetop Maximus wrote:-If Unicron only exists in one universe at a time, why did one of his heralds (can't remember if it was Hook, Line, or Sinker) tell Galvatron that a "different Unicron" existed?

Never take anything a Herald of Unicron says at face value, I guess. it stands to reason that "Hook, Line, and Sinker" means "You fell for my lie/trap/trick/etc."

Treetop Maximus wrote:-What's the official explanation for the lack of continuity between Energon and Cybertron in the Unicron trilogy?

There's two, but they don't contradict each other, both are right:

1. The black hole that made up the premis for the series also completely screwed up time and space, causing the timeline to get all wacky. This is the reason given in-universe.

2. Because there was never meant to be any connection. They wanted to tie in Energon/Armada and Cybertron, despite Superlink and Galaxy Force not having any connection. This didn't slow anyone down. This is the real-life reason.

Treetop Maximus wrote:-How does Unicron keep coming back if he's a multiversal singularity?

There was an official explanation that smart dimension-hoppers will spend some time in dimensions where time stands still or flows backwards, to ensure that if they die in one dimension, they can keep on going elsewhere.

Treetop Maximus wrote:And then The Fallen...

It is indeed.

Thanks, Shadowman. :)

I read that first explanation for the Energon/Cybertron continuity discrepancies somewhere but wasn't sure if it was true.

hook line and sinker were "hired" by a unicron from a different dimension, because he realised that one of his incarnations needed a hand.
glavatron was also from this dmension, or possibly a third one i cant remember.

Not quite. Hook, Line and Sinker were from the same time period (1991 to be exact) as the one the story took place in, and they were created from 3 low-life criminals after Unicron ate their home planet. Their first assignment was to fetch Galvatron from a possible future, where Unicron succeeded in eating Cybertron and where Galvatron was relieved of his duties and given conquest of Earth. We know this Galvatron as "Galvatron II". The notion of Unicron being a multiversal singularity, let alone there actually being a multiverse, didn't exist yet. Time travel did however. Go watch Back to the Future ;)

This may seem like a wired qestion but me and sevrel friends wonder this:
On the first film optimus says they are created by the Allspark but in the second film on the metor were the fallen is, there are lots of baby ones. Do they all start off as baby ones?
Is Bay getting it wrong or is he trying to confuse us?

The hatchlings are shown to die off instantly without the AllSpark. So the AllSpark creates life, but not the body.

It was already being messed up by the fact the war shifted from the future 2005 of the cartoon, to whatever real life year (in this case 1991). A side-effect of that, revealed years later, is that when Unicron was destroyed, a splinter timeline was created: Classics.
