Currently having problems with the feet in heliopod mode since I replaced the ball joint ankle with a swivel type.

My head hurts :D

Thanks for the complement. I'm currently optimizing the mesh. I'm new to this. I've only just glossed over the guidelines on shapeways page and several guidelines regarding model optimization for cast production. So far progress is steady. I'll upload a video on how the thing works here soon. Cheers.

The legs/feet have always been my major hang-up about this figure, and whilst there's various fanmodes and add-ons around for them, I've not seen any that look quite as good as what you've made here
I'll be excited to keep up with this as it progresses! :D

Thanks for the complement,

I've manage to lock the design for the feet bearing in mind the considerations for both shapeways and casting.

I'm currently finalizing the shield and hip caps.

I'll upload a video of the cg showing off how it works.
Comments and suggestions are welcome. I'm really new to this. :D

Here's the clip for the feet. I thinks I may have to redo the support tab for the feet ankle to whirl vanilla feet.

The tab bangs the chopper tail in chopper mode.

Greetings.

I've sent it to a local 3d printer. They said the print will be out on the 19th of December. Once the fit is right I'll upload the tray for shapeways so anyone interested can enjoy. The cheap print cost me like 12 usd. The quote for a high resolution print cost around 60-70 usd. It's ridiculous!!! Runner extent volume is at 149mm x 110mm x 15mm only. It's so expensive. I'll have a quote from shapeways soon.

I'll update this posting soon when I get the print. I don't want to upload to shapeways without confirming the fir first.

Cheers. :D

Got the 1st prototype cheap print.

Still a long way to go. Will do another round with the tweaks. So far everything fits except for the shield because I had to remove unprintable tabs for the cheap print. Though I may release the mesh to all via shapeways soon since the one for high res print is good enough.

Yo. Currently modifying the mesh. Will update soon. Had it quoted for shapeways HR print. Too expensive. Went for something like 60 USD!?! I could release the mesh for all to use when done. Cheers.
