Let's build Transformer Thundertank from LEGO set 70842
Posted: Fri Apr 09, 2021 10:21 amThis LEGO Thundertank turns into a very articulated robot, built using only parts from LEGO set 70842: Emmet's Triple Decker couch mech. Not only that, the vehicle cabin opens to reveal a pair of cannons, too!
To those who are uninitiated, Thundertank is arguably the most iconic vehicle from Thundercats cartoon series from the 1980s.
by the way.... I had used this set before to build myself a nifty looking Perceptor (video below).
Ok let's return to my Thundertank bot.
There's no proper wheels to be found from the set, so I'm forced to improvise by using whatever rounded parts available (even mugs!) to design the faux tank tracks.
Yea the fingers are a lil creepy with tiny hooks like that, but those are the parts available at my perusal!
