Geewunish Brutalisor! (G1 combiner with custom bits)
Posted: Wed Jul 14, 2021 6:59 pmMy friend got the sudden desire to make G1 combiners, but without buying fakes nor spending a fortune. Plus he don't care about the "legacy" teams. So, with bare bodies without any accessories and the compatible Combiner Wars HFG, we can do what we want!
So this is the team we came up with:
-- G1 Motormaster,
-- G1 Brawl
-- G2 Brawl
-- RiD "Vortex"
-- G1 some scrap Arealbot turned traitor.
I found that Arealbot in my pile-O-scraps. He was missing his tailfin and an arm. So I... converted him. He's now called "Boltron".
The team in bot mode:
A closer look at Boltron. He now have the arms of that 2007 Bay movie microscope guy. They are a bit fragile but if they pop off, they pop back in. The look is bizarre and I love it!
For the Menasor body, it needs it's parts in order to work. So what do? Just make something out of scraps!
He's crooked all over, he's awkward, but he's a dangerous menace, here's
CRABSTERS!
It's the chestplate/head of the combined mode, with the hands and feet plugged in.
The chest plate peg in several spots on Motormaster. It's not the most secure fit, but it work. The combiner is not really stable either, but it make the job done.
The combined head have light piping! Not the best one, but it work with enough light.
Overall, I'm happy with the results. Brutalisor is an odd fellow, but he's cool!
Bonus:
That blastoff had his tailfin broken off. So I glued in a new one. It's small, but solid.
