Sweet custom. This is how Side Swipe should have looked in the first place. The only thing I would change is That I would have removed the emergency lights. Other than that it?s perfect.

Perfect! :D Well, except for the lights and overly-sized Autobot symbol.

I friggin' love how this thing came out. His color is so beautiful. I don't get the lights either, but I think the size of the symbol is fine.

Perfect! (except, again, for the lights and Autobot symbol).

I've been wondering if it was possible to mod the doors into that position so he's a dead ringer for Sideswipe/Red Alert. You need to show how it was done! :)

No...it's perfect.

I wanted that big of a Autobot Symbol and the light on there.

As you noticed I took them off of my Wildrider but left them on him.

Why do you ask?

Because Autobots=Help

So I left the lights on so Sideswipe could help out humans in a hurry.

Wildrider didn't need lights...like he would care to warn people...

Maybe MTV pimped Sideswipe and that's why he has those emergency lights??

I still say that based upon SideSwipe?s role and his personality, the emergency lights don?t fit. He is a hot shot punk fighter, not a rescuer.

Love how it looks TFM, although I do agree that the lights look a bit off on Sideswipe. (It's probably also because the lights are red, just like the car. Maybe blue lights would look better.)

Love the color red, much better than the official Sideswipe.

(Actually, this is close to how I would make a Red Alert should Hasbro not release one.)

Hey TF, how did you do the door mod? It's awesome! looks so good!

Alas, the doors are removable. They must be pulled out of place and re-pinned in the proper areas to achieve transformation.

but did he somehow thin the lower part they clip onto, the same part that connects the suspention? Did he pull off the metal parts making it so the suspention no longer works or did he thin the other side, the gray plastic? Or did he alter the door instead, make the opening wider?

how exactly are they "repinned" into the arms?

you have to put a longer pin in place of the one by the wheel. i put screws in mine.

I'll second the question. I want to do that for my Wild Rider custom (upcoming).
