MIRAGE
Illustrator on Wacom

Mirage was my very first TF as a kid. Still one of my all time favorites.
I always liked how he had what I thought was kind of an Egyptian vibe goin' on. I tried to play that up a bit with his head.

Thanks for checking it out.
:D

Neato. I'm super impressed. I know the back ground color is that of the ark, but the contrasting colors really pop.

Can't wait for more.

Thanks for sharing.

Looks cool man. I never thought of that egyptian theme but it makes sense since other tfs embodie certain ethnic characteristics (it got pretty nuts in Beast Wars)

Wow, nice work Cobs! Love the stylised G1 look, and the Sphinx head is a great fit. Looking forward to your next.

Hey guys! Thanks to you all for coming by. Hope you enjoyed a little eye candy.
Donny sorry we ran out of bacon wrapped jalapenos right before you got here. ;)

On the Egyptian tip. There is a Microman called Sheriff who had an Egyptian theme, the Micronaut was called Pharoid. As a kid I used to pair Mirage and Pharoid up for all kinds of adventures. I even had the blue one like this.
Image
He came inside this sarcophagus.

They looked great together. Plus with a name like Mirage, It just seemed natural.

Here's hoping Mirage get's a Masterpiece sooner than later. Plus the MPs scale so nicely with Microman.

Thanks again for checkin' out my handy crafts. More to come soon. :D

Dude, super nice. I really dig the style too, very clean. :APPLAUSE:
Now do me a favor: keep the audio, but re-animate the G1 toon to your art. I'll wait. [-(

Thanks holmes. Great idea BTW. I'll get right on it. Think we'll still be pals in 13 years? 'Cause that's how long it would take at my current rate.

Hey RhA! Glad you found me. I remember reading in here somewhere that you too are a bit of a graphix jockey. So thanks for the kind words. I'm just really cracking the shell on Illustrator. This was the first time I tried live paint. Great function!

Thanks Cyrax! Well OK.

Vector Prime and Cyclonus - Photoshop on wacom

Gotta say these are not my favorite drawings I've ever done, but hey they are Transformers.
These two are 6, gosh almost 7 years old now. These were the first two things I did when I got my Wacom tablet. The tablet kind of revolutionized the way I use Photoshop though, and I've learned a lot since these drawings.

ZWOLF! You old so and such. Haven't seen you around in a while. Hope all is well.
To answer your question, probably longer than I'd like to admit. The last two took a good while because of the learning curve with the tablet and trying out all kinds of new things with Photoshop. Mirage probably took between 10 to 12 hours, but that was also spread out over two weeks.

Thanks man. :D

I'm always around somewhere, just had some Internet difficulties. Would love to see more of your pictures in the future.

I did not get a notice about these being posted. These two pieces are great! You should totally sell prints!

T-shirts and temporary tattoos as well. Maybe coffee mugs and place settings. I'll go open an etsy shoppe and only take 10% as your manager and sales rep ;-)

Boy ZWolf, I tell ya. Just like corporate America. Cashing in on the next big thing. Marketing the crap out of my blood, sweat, and tears without a single consideration for the artist. Everyone will accuse me of being a sellout before I can even get in and protect my own intellectual properties. Happens everyday.

Just kidding! Who wants a beer can cozy! :P

I started figuring out how to digi-bash.
I couldn't think where else to put these, so this seemed like a good spot.

Taserbeak
This was spawned from a silly conversation with D-Maximus Prime and Hellscream9999. The convo was lost in the Kremzeek attack this past week, but this is Tailgate's skate board from MTMTE complete with Tony Hawk graphics.
