Try designing a transformation for gargoyle legs..
That's where we're stuck at. If you look towards the top/left of the grimlock sketch - you can see some ideas for the transformation.

Hmmmn...Well, from what I seem, the legs aren't that big, are they? Well, if you're going to include a tail for him, then perhaps you could let the legs themselves be some kind of armor for the robot legs that are formed from the tail, like with G1 Grimlock?

And another idea: What if you let the head swivel to the back instead to the front, so that the robot head pops up through the hair? Might give him an even better brute/viking look in robot mode.

That might work. I haven't decided how long/thick the tail's going to be - I'll sketch some stuff based around that idea, though. Thanks.

I'm already set on that part of the transformation (I can't speak for TFM) - but thanks for the suggestion - I'll consider that idea for another character.

how are you going to have snarl as a nemean lion and as a gargoyle dinobot? two diff snarls?

RHansen, there's a U-Snarl and a G1-Snarl, and they both have designs. Now that I think about it though, it is weird. Oh well.

And 'dragon/wolf-type creature'? Wha? He's just a dragon, you know.

Well, here are two WIPs for Blackarachnia. I have no idea which one to use, though. The first is more Transmetal like Tarantulas and's based on Season 1 and Transmetal 2 BA, but the second one is more based on the BM BA. Of course I swapped the heads for them.

I personally like version 1 the best though, while that's the one I spent the less time on (it's actually version 2, but I had it scanned first ). Well, what do you guys think?




Oh yeah, one more thing: I hate, HATE drawing women! They're even worse then humanoids! Geez!

Though I don't truly understand what's going on with the transforamtion in the top version, I like te overall aesthetic better. Especially since the lower version has an asymetrical head which I've never been a fan of.

RA-88-I feel the first versions legs are too thick, but maybe its cuz females are hard to draw...

metalsamoan- you missed the 9 tailed fox.

The only way those legs will work is if you style her after an Arab Princess w/fluffy pants and a garb over her face, w/ a huge chest... omit that last part

First off; thank you Ra88; Primus_Feather, and TGPing for corecting me; I honestly forgot those changes (I was in the process of updating the old list when the forum was locked... ). The more info you guys provide on the alt modes of your designs; the more accurate I can describe them in the list. The ones that have (?) by them I'm not sure about; so whatever info you can provide will help. Thanks!

On a side note; I like v1 on Blacharachnia; I really like the changing face feature!

As for the 2 Snarl characters; perhaps one of them could be G1 Dinobot and the other an alternate version created by Unicron or something...

If you think about it, we have Dinobot (the Tengu warrior) and the Dinobots (the Gargoyles); so that's kind-of wierd too.

I thought this whole thread (1st thread) was supposed to be "what if BW crashed during Mythical times..." Thus Dinobot and BM Snarl? but people putting in Ideas ADDED GeeWuuers to the mix? am I wrong?

Well...sort-of.

From what I understand; this was originally going to be "What if the G1 TF's awoke during Mythical times...?"; and that's why there's Metroplex, the Terrorcons, and Megatron's G1-Style belly...

But then the story changed to strictly BW continuation; and so the G1ers remained; but mostly BW characters only...

However; you're right about people adding in G1 characters...that kind-of hinders the whole "BW-Continuation" thing...

I don't know honestly...it's confusing to me how the G1 characters will fit in; but shin and TGPing are the ones who have to decide/figure that out; not me. I can only provide ideas and some minimal explanation.

Hope that helps a little.

How about this, just have the BWers crash land DURING Mythical times verse ancient earth, and accidentialy waking the G1 bots, and shared a little "tech" thus Realistic alts on G1ers? Yes i relize this creats a paradox... but who cares LOL!

I was thinking that it was the current BW storyline; and then someone awakens the bots inside the Ark and Nemesis; thus the G1ers come in. The rest come from Cybertron when contacted by their respective parties (Autobots or Decepticons).

But like I said; it's up to shin and TGPing to decide; not I.

for your information, a spider's legs are not connected to it's abdomen (butt)

I like the head that looks like the Beast Machines version. It's funny, the smaller picture of her makes me think of a Predator.

haha i agree wiht you 100%, i had to draw a female character for my friend, and i gave up, like i just quit and i told him to do it himself

Wow...this all made me LMAO...I mean that's sooo true about drawing female figures! I absolutely couldn't draw a good looking female face (human or robot) if my life depended on it. My best one was the War Within Arcee I did for Dreamwave's contest in Issue #4 of WW:TDA.

And Ravage is right; and spider's legs are attached to it's midsection. But I'm sure it's a quick fix in the design...
