I really wish the transtopia forums were more active here..~sighs~
I would grab a generations book and scan it for possible names. Im not to keen on Beast Wars , I never really got into it so I wouldn't know who fits for what.. Are you planning on making a character for each one of those dinosaurs? Because if you do that would be friggin epic! Talk about Jurrasic park LOL

Velociraptor
When coming online he knew he was unlike the others. Highly intelegent he only remains loyal to the other dinobots due to his inate social behavior. Unable to go it alone will put up with his dimwitted cousins

I personally think you've got enough here to have your very own continuity, just like BW but exclusively with Dino' alt modes.
Thinking about it 104 Dinosaurs does seem a lot for just one faction to have so you could split them into two. You could have, for example, Autobot Dinobots verses Decepticon Sauricons. Just like G1 they've crashed on Earth but instead of them crashing 4 million years ago they crashed 200 million years ago, so they are forced to take those prehistoric alt modes. Apart form that it's pretty much business as usual. The evil Sauricons lusting for power, look to drain Earths natural resources, while the valiant Dinobots have sworn to protect Earth and it's natural wonders.
Simple, effective and doesn't look to re-write the rule book, however what do you think?

Just an idea...
If anyone read the book Transformers Legends, there is a cool story of a dinobot buried on dinobot island. It was a plesiosaur named Paddles
