Agreed. And like Counterpunch, I got lucky and got one. The real problem is now I can't find a decently priced 2nd SG Rodimus to wear it. And before someone suggests trying the CHMS one, I tried - I couldn't get any of the pieces to fit it well, so I ended up tossing the CHMS one in the garbage like the POS it was.

Part of me is thinking that these retail oddities is what prompted FP to create their own store, or at least have a dedicated group sell its products.

All FP needs to do is look at the aftermarket prices and existing demand for their previous sets and figures.

Basically everything except the Insecticons are sold out just about everywhere besides ebay, and of course if they are instock (or on ebay), they're vastly overpriced.

If I were a business manager for FP, I'd take that as a sign that it's time to do a second/third/whatever run of those add-ons and figures and flood the online shops (and their own store of course) with them at retail price.

Let the scalpers scalp, if the company that makes the product saturates the market with the product at retail cost, the actual consumers will buy them and FP will make a tidy profit for themselves to fund future endeavors.

The problem isn't the number of Scyther kits out there (well, maybe a different problem, but not my problem) it's with the number of SG Rodimuses out there for sale of which there are very few. Making more Scyther kits would only drive the SG Rodimii prices even higher and further shift the unbalancing.

Ah, too true. I forgot that he was a con exclusive. Yep, that won't help much given the current situation, but I think it still applies for everything else (especially the Bruticus add-on set considering how many versions of that set/those molds there are).

I remember my talks with a third party company and they both stressed on how they didn't want to raise the price of the base figures for their add-ons, especially if they were not currently released at retail. In fact it is the case for some add-on companies that is preventing them from releasing nice kits. Protector was just a bloody shame because that was the biggest delay from announcement to release that skyrocketed a mold that really wasn't all too great.

I gotta give credit to Takara for re-issuing Henkei Rodimus and United Laser Prime. This was most likely done both to combat e-bay price gouging and capitalize on all those cab-less trailers out there. And even if you were against it, you must admit CHMS Wildrider and SG Rodimus taught those greedy speculators a lesson.

CHMS is awesome !!!

It would be nice if they make a blue version for Sideburn or E-Hobby Hot Rod...

Here is a US based retailer selling it as well..They also mention they have 2 different versions.

http://acestoystore.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=123

I've bought from this store in the past and they rock..super fast shipping and great service.. I have the original release but the other version they have sounds interesting. Anyone know of a place selling a KO SG roddy, wildrider? Im not shelling out more cash for a Authentic one to go in Ko armor :P

With shipping it came out to $66 bucks shipped to texas via USPS priority..

Well his store rocks. There one of the retailers selling the maiden japan junkion set as well. great service and they seem to always have new stock coming in. That name doesn't sound familiar but I do know his store rocks.

Yep, it's a great online shop. I've gotten several KO's from there as well as some of the Dr Wu stuff before it became more widely available. Never had any problems with that site.

Never was able to get FP Shadow Scyther. I have a couple of questions though. What's the build quality of this? What version of rodimus does it fit?

It's from CHMS. It hasn't even been released for us to know what's the real quality. As for version, RTS/Henkei/KO/Sideburn/E-Hobby, etc.. As long as you don't try to fit it on the MP version..

The pre-orders are available for just the Armor, or for the set.

 Wow, to ship from Aces to the U.K. would total $95! Pass!
I'll stick with $70 @ Chimungmung I think?

I have just snapped up a Crystal Sons of Cybertron set for the Crystal Rodimus to go with this KO set! A bargain for £30 which makes up for my recent Customs charge!! :P

I so wanna make this...

Acestoystore appears to have 2 different versions of this KO. One to fit with Wildrider and one to fit with SG Rodimus. There's a bit of a price difference between the two for some odd reason...
