If they're already receiving a second shipment within a week, then I'd say that there's a good chance that BBTS will have their's around the same time. If the shipments are moving that fast, I fail to see a reason why they won't be here in a short time.

Even TFSource sent an email out stating that their shipment cleared custom and was on it's way to Curt as we speak. BBTS can't be that far behind.

...I hope.

Actually what I think it is, is that they got their first shipment and filled all their pre-orders already. That's why it says it's already sold out. At least that's what I'm guessing, haven't heard anything about a second shipment yet.

Well another day of BBTS watching has almost come to a end and still no news bout the crossfire :( I took the crossfire 01 set off of Superion today and put it on Bruticus , just for a little bit so he could get his self esteem back up a bit..Superion has been bragging all week about how awesome he is and how much he loves "His crossfire 01" set I got him from TFSource( snowman) last year..

Ole brutie will never be the same I fear :( Come on BBTS!!!!! :APPLAUSE:

BBTS will get it when it gets it. There's nothing they can really do about the situation, unfortunately.

Fansprojects is the king of the 3rd party companies, but it's still a 3rd party company. One of it's flaws is the release dates not being met.

That's not entirely fair.

Hasbro's THE TF company and they rarely, if ever, hit their release dates, outside of street dating.

They say 07/01/2010 or 08/01/2010 for an item or assortment and it doesn't happen.

Plenty of people can affirm that Animated suffered from this problem when Ultra Magnus was supposed to be out in stores. If it wasn't for BBTS getting a shipment ahead of schedule, I wouldn't have found Magnus for months, maybe even a year after he was supposed to be out. I'm not the only one, either.

Considering FP is 3rd party and they still deliver in the end, I'd say they impress me more than Hasbro does. FP has an excuse, but what about Hasbro?

There's some food for thought.

It's plenty fair. FP stuff tends to come out late. And of course it does. It's a small company.

I haven't had a problem with Hasbro's releases, outside of Canada being behind the US.

Food for thought? FP has two upcoming products. Hasbro has many more. I see my FP preorder slide from one month into the next ... I see my Hasbro stuff come out in a timely manner. There are exceptions, sure, but I call it like I see it. FP is impressive in what they put out, but the waiting is something I'm not impressed with.

Hasbro, as it's been recently stated to me, is an entertainment company. Toys are not their only focus any more. They have vast, not immeasurable, but vast resources and have divisions that focus on toys, on movies, on shows, etc.

FansProject is made by fans, for fans, as a side project and is not their main business. They have lives, jobs, etc, and still find time and money to do this.

Hasbro has the luxury of having the resources to do it all, and they still don't hit the mark, some of the time.

FansProject has limited everything to work with, and they don't always hit the mark on the timeframe, but they make darn sure their QC is top notch, and make sure that we're happy, and they pull it off in the end.

You may not see it, but you are being unfair to them. What started as a pet project is becoming a side business for them, but they'll never be Hasbro. FP has reasonable excuses for not always getting it right, but Hasbro doesn't even try and explain why they've stopped trying in some areas.

Wow. This is a gross simplification of a complicated situation. You do not honestly believe this statement do you? That their budget for any one TF toy is infinite, I mean.

They don't hit the mark some of the time. Among ... how many releases would you say? And for whom? The adult collector or the child? Because I assure you there's a vastly different level of quality each expects.

Well, yeah ... basically. Which is exactly why they don't come out on time. Again, not seeing how I'm being unfair here.

Several assumptions with Hasbro there. But I'm not being unfair to FP at all by pointing out that it's FP that controls when they ship things out.

I received my first Crossfire 2 set from Toy Arena yesterday and thought I'd post my first impressions of it.

I bought this set to display as individual bots so I haven't actually created Bruticus yet (I have another set coming for that). However, here are my thoughts about the them separately.

The figures and parts can be summed up in one word: Epic. Fansproject has once again raised the bar on 3P toys. While these figures aren't entirely flawless, they are of a quality that no other 3P toy maker can touch.

Image

Image

Pros:
Great articulation
Flawless Paint Apps
Very cool weapon assortment
Perfect modern head/face designs
Awesome alt modes
Don't leave you feeling like you paid too much

Cons:
A few joints are very tight (knees on mine are the worst)
A few parts feel a little delicate (mostly on Explorer)
Munitioner's back pack does make him back heavy

I can't wait to get my second set to create Bruticus. It'll be like getting these guys all over again.

I also hope that TFSource offers repaints of them as their 2010 Stocking Stuffers. I am strongly considering another set to display in alt modes, and repaints would be perfect.

I know people are going nuts for these and rightly so. They're two amazing figures that are almost a lock for my TFOTY vote.

Mine too. Damn it being a Friday. But I guess it's better than being shipped on a Thursday or Wednesday with the two day blackout.

This month has simply been amazing, two new motorcycles, Reason5.0+Record1.5, and Munitioner&Explorer? Yes, just yes.
