I just got him and he is officially the hardest transforming toy I have ever tried transforming. That back section that flips to bring the thrusters down in robot mode is giving me nightmares. But my biggest problem is getting him to stand. This is the only position where he didnt fall back right away. Anyone have some tips on this? And do the panels which connect his arms to his chest lock in anywhere? Those instructions really dont help.

Put a BFG in his hand? :-s

(sorry, I know that's less than helpful... *sheepish grin*)

Congrats on getting your TW Evila Star toy. It's a great toy.

Had to watch several video reviews. As the Transformation was complex.

It was my mistake, I didnt lower the clear red tabs near his feet, now he is standing like a boss!

Thanks! I only needed to transform him using the instructions once and then I went from robot to train. He is not that difficult anymore and the color coding makes it easy to know what goes where. I actually preffer transforming him much more than Appolyon who feels way too fragile and doesnt peg in as well as Evila Star. I havent been collecting long but Evila Star is my favourite thrd party toy so far.

One last question: what are those small black pellets that come in a small back with his visor for?

That is exactly what they are, for the top of the train mode. They like to fall out though, so once you are sure you have them around the right way get the glue.

There's a joke in there somewhere. I just know it! Image

Are they curved on one side to match the contours of the figure? I'm just curious...

OH and I am noticing that one of the wings tends to slide down while not astrotrain is in robot mode. Is there any peg helping the wings stay up and has anybody else encountered that problem?

Probably the same reason so many other 3P do.

And I LOVE this guy as well!

Not having a way to peg any of that in is one of the very few things they missed with this toy. I can't say if this will help, but one of my wings tended to do the same and doesn't when I do this. It also gets those damn rods out of the way.

Np. All the playing with Astrotrain prompted me to finally put faction symbols on him, so thanks for that :D

Post a picture when you have a chance, I wasnt too sure where it would look best on this toy.

If I had put the train mode symbols about an inch further back (where there is a nice spot for them) they'd have disappeared for shuttle mode, but I prefer them where they are.

Thinking about adding a white symbol of the shuttle nose at some point.

He looks great!

I'm hoping for a show-colored repaint

Don't like the only eyes look. Have my TW Evila Star posed with visor on next to a few HasTak MP seekers toys.
