Granted, that is how he looks like in the G1 show, but I was always bothered by how Megatron looked in the cartoon too. I like the new add-ons, but if only someone would make a new noggin that looks less "organic" by doing away with the "cheekbones." Also, he constantly looks like he smelled someone's fart.

I'm intrigued, though I'd like to see some other pics, particularly of the back of the arm cannon and how the shoulder barrel mounts. I'm not feeling this much and am already considering selling Megs....

Why? what's wrong with him? or you just prefer the X-Transbot one coming out?
I think the tank turned out great, and hey, we got rubber treads on a non-MP figure! When does THAT happen?! (outside of the recent movie toys)Agamemnon wrote:mooncake623 wrote:Agamemnon wrote:BBTS has it up too for $39.99

Not really a preference thing. (X-Transbot is more MP, and I'm not really considering any 3P MPs.) I like the overall Hasbro tank design and might consider keeping the Armada version. If this came out in G2 colors, I'd be all over it! I do really like the head.
But that fusion cannon on the arm is really putting me off. I do not like how it looks turning it around, either. This add-on, while making it look a bit more G1 doesn't make a lot of sense in my mind. I don't know. I am highly conflicted, and I don't like that the arm cannon is affecting me so much in liking this figure. Really, if it was someone other than G1-esque Megatron, I think I'd really like the figure more.
I know it took quite some time for my local Walmart to get anything Combiner Wars, they STILL have AoE stuff (deluxes) occupying the pegs. Same thing with my local TRU, AoE everywhere. I was surprised when I saw Armada Megatron at TRU (in store) and then THRILLED when I found regular Megatron hidden away. Give it time, I'm still looking for Arcee (even though I could've ordered her, I still like the hunt)!Tsutsukakushi wrote:Still haven't found this CW G1 Megatron in stores yet. It would be funny if the DX9 add ons arrive to me in May. And I still can't find this toy in stores yet.
Did try to buy the toy online. Went to HTS, Put it in my cart. Added the code that got me a discount and free shipping. When I hit the submit order button. Got a message stating the item was sold out.
Currently Waiting for Target and Walmart to get this toy in stock. At the local stores or online. Since I have a few Target and Walmart gift cards that relatives and friends gave me for Christmas.
Do find it quite odd that Walmart and Target still have yet to stock any newer CW Generations toys on their online sites. Wondering if the Doc strikes had anything to do with this. Since the Doc Strikes are over, Hoping these sites get in the CW Generations toys in stock.

It's great that more places are carrying the items we want, but it's also bad if the employees know what the items are (does that make sense?). I know it happens on bigger ticket items (like the *new* Nintendo 3DS XL Majora's Mask edition) but also on smaller stuff. Sometimes the stores "hype" the items so even the employees get that "dollar sign" glaze over their eyes. The best bet does seem to be getting items online, you may pay more but you are guaranteed the item (pre-ordering assortments and such).Tsutsukakushi wrote:Noticed I have no problem finding the newer released Transformers toys the scalpers are not interested. Like always finding the newest Rescue Bots toys and newest RID2015 toys. Always easily find the stuff, I have no intent on buying.itscramtastic wrote:I know it took quite some time for my local Walmart to get anything Combiner Wars, they STILL have AoE stuff (deluxes) occupying the pegs. Think my area Local stores has a scalpers infestation.
Think it goes as high as the Store employees and Managers also being scalpers. Don't even think the in demand newer Transformers toys even get stocked on the shelves. Think the employees and Managers are hiding toys in the back. Waiting till they got the money to buy them.
That's why a few years ago, I started buying the bulk of newer Transformers toys online.
I was pretty excited for the figure in the first place but seeing it in person is why I bought it. After I transformed him back and forth a few times I'm glad I made the purchase. DX9 has been touting the "no parts removal" for a few of their bigger figures so it would be REALLY nice if these parts just move out of the way like a normal piece of the toy. I guess we will have to see. Whenever you can gain articulated hands and ankle pivot you are on to something, that shoulder cannon is just bonus. He's really looking like IDW Megatron after the add-ons.rpetras wrote:I was on the fence with this Megs, but this add-on kit is swaying me.
It really is an improvement, IMO.
When I first saw it, i wasn't impressed, but the additional pictures are pulling me in.
