Looks great to me, sign me up!

Maybe I'll pick up the TT version to get it setup with this add-on kit. I had a lot of fun transforming this toy back and forth over the weekend, it's really well made and a fun transformation! That tank mode looks great!

I hope this kit keeps things together when changing back and forth.

It looks great, but at the end of a day it still turns into a stupid tank. I would like to see what all these parts do in alt mode, especially the Walter P-38 gun barrel on his back and the gun grips on his legs.

I do like the tank, but as I mentioned above I hope those parts stay with the robot during transformation. The less parts-forming the better, sometimes it's unavoidable. I can't really envision where the gun barrel will go, and the only thing I can think of with the gun grips would be a SAM battery or something to that effect.

I saw this toy at my local Walmart but I passed up on him because I think his face looks too "organic." Granted, that is how he looks like in the G1 show, but I was always bothered by how Megatron looked in the cartoon too. I like the new add-ons, but if only someone would make a new noggin that looks less "organic" by doing away with the "cheekbones." Also, he constantly looks like he smelled someone's fart.

Get what your saying as I feel the same way. Also Prefer my update TF toy faces to look like the G1 toy not the G1 toon.

As far as this CW G1 Megatron toon face goes, I've seen worse. Actually like this CW Megatron toy face.

An example of a G1 update toy face I dislike because it looks too much like the toon. Is the MP-09 Rodimus Prime Two faces.

Would actually like to see HasTak one day use that G1 1984 Megatron toy face on a update toy.

Think it might be cool if all of these robot armor add on parts combined to form a gun.

BBTS has it up too for $39.99

I'm intrigued, though I'd like to see some other pics, particularly of the back of the arm cannon and how the shoulder barrel mounts. I'm not feeling this much and am already considering selling Megs....

Why? what's wrong with him? or you just prefer the X-Transbot one coming out?

Not really a preference thing. (X-Transbot is more MP, and I'm not really considering any 3P MPs.) I like the overall Hasbro tank design and might consider keeping the Armada version. If this came out in G2 colors, I'd be all over it! I do really like the head.

But that fusion cannon on the arm is really putting me off. I do not like how it looks turning it around, either. This add-on, while making it look a bit more G1 doesn't make a lot of sense in my mind. I don't know. I am highly conflicted, and I don't like that the arm cannon is affecting me so much in liking this figure. Really, if it was someone other than G1-esque Megatron, I think I'd really like the figure more.

I think the tank turned out great, and hey, we got rubber treads on a non-MP figure! When does THAT happen?! (outside of the recent movie toys) :D

I like his cannon, but I don't like the way it seems to get in the way when the firing mechanism is spun around so it looks like the "fusion cannon" is pointing forward in robot mode. Hopefully this add-on kit will fix that so we don't have to spin it around (at least that's what it looks like) AND we can still fire the missle :D

Like what the add ons parts do for this toy. It reminds me of a special ops human soldier that adds all that army gear, weapons and guns on his outfit when he goes into a big battle.

Also reminds me of those old school Robotech toys. that came with all that that gear and weapons. Then also sold more gear and weapons separately.

Think the best part about all this extensive gear and weapons this CW Megatron gets from DX9. Is that none of it takes away any articulation or restricts movement on the robot toy.
It actually adds articulation in the fingers and feet.

Still remember the Two big add ons Hastak did for the Movie Optimus toys. ROTF Leader Jetfire was a big add on that when combined with Optimus. Prevented the Optimus legs from having articulation. That DOTM Ultimate Optimus trailer add on body suit. Took away most of the key articulation the smaller Voyager Optimus robot toy had.

I'm not an MP collector, but I do have a few MP figures and always wanted an MP sized Megs to display with MP Prime.

Apollyon doesn't do it for me for some reason, plus I don't really like X-Transbots. This Leader class figure was a miss for me because he was stuck in between the two sizes I wanted him to be - Voyager and MP. With this add-on I'm now seriously considering him.

Still haven't found this CW G1 Megatron in stores yet. It would be funny if the DX9 add ons arrive to me in May. And I still can't find this toy in stores yet.

Did try to buy the toy online. Went to HTS, Put it in my cart. Added the code that got me a discount and free shipping. When I hit the submit order button. Got a message stating the item was sold out.

Currently Waiting for Target and Walmart to get this toy in stock. At the local stores or online. Since I have a few Target and Walmart gift cards that relatives and friends gave me for Christmas.

Do find it quite odd that Walmart and Target still have yet to stock any newer CW Generations toys on their online sites. Wondering if the Doc strikes had anything to do with this. Since the Doc Strikes are over, Hoping these sites get in the CW Generations toys in stock.

I'm totally digging what I see so far. Though I'm still waiting for the far more impressive Takara Megatron to arrive I hope the QC in this set is as great as the AOE Evasive Prime. :VEHI:

I know it took quite some time for my local Walmart to get anything Combiner Wars, they STILL have AoE stuff (deluxes) occupying the pegs. Same thing with my local TRU, AoE everywhere. I was surprised when I saw Armada Megatron at TRU (in store) and then THRILLED when I found regular Megatron hidden away. Give it time, I'm still looking for Arcee (even though I could've ordered her, I still like the hunt)!

:-? Noticed I have no problem finding the newer released Transformers toys the scalpers are not interested. Like always finding the newest Rescue Bots toys and newest RID2015 toys. ;) Always easily find the stuff, I have no intent on buying.

Think my area Local stores has a scalpers infestation. :-(

Think it goes as high as the Store employees and Managers also being scalpers. Don't even think the in demand newer Transformers toys even get stocked on the shelves. Think the employees and Managers are hiding toys in the back. Waiting till they got the money to buy them.

That's why a few years ago, I started buying the bulk of newer Transformers toys online.

I kinda just want the shoulder cannon. The rest isn't necessary at all. I worry that most or all of it won't integrate into the vehicle, which drastically reduces my desire to own it.

I was on the fence with this Megs, but this add-on kit is swaying me.

It really is an improvement, IMO.

When I first saw it, i wasn't impressed, but the additional pictures are pulling me in.

It's great that more places are carrying the items we want, but it's also bad if the employees know what the items are (does that make sense?). I know it happens on bigger ticket items (like the *new* Nintendo 3DS XL Majora's Mask edition) but also on smaller stuff. Sometimes the stores "hype" the items so even the employees get that "dollar sign" glaze over their eyes. The best bet does seem to be getting items online, you may pay more but you are guaranteed the item (pre-ordering assortments and such).

I was pretty excited for the figure in the first place but seeing it in person is why I bought it. After I transformed him back and forth a few times I'm glad I made the purchase. DX9 has been touting the "no parts removal" for a few of their bigger figures so it would be REALLY nice if these parts just move out of the way like a normal piece of the toy. I guess we will have to see. Whenever you can gain articulated hands and ankle pivot you are on to something, that shoulder cannon is just bonus. :D He's really looking like IDW Megatron after the add-ons.

Noticed the DX9, black lower legs covers are not listed for sale in this pic or any of the pre order listings from sites.

Are the lower legs covers part of this kit or another kit?
