Looks like they are doing new shoulders and forearms instead of the upgrades that are actually needed :-?

We're aiming at upgrading the arms and the shoulders of this giant fellow, to make this big guy more handsome, you know, and much closer to the G1 looking.

We'll roll out our prototype right after the issuance of Titan Class Devastator to the market. Wish you guys would enjoy it. We'll keep you posted!

Amazing how much better this looks with the add-on kit. However, it's pretty sad that at this day and age Has/Tak STILL can't get it right. That this guy needs a new head, boot, forearms, etc. is just . . . sad.

I see more than just the shoulders and arms upgraded. It looks like the head and Mixmaster foot. Clever photoshopping to make it all look good, or will the upgrades be extensive (or numerous)?

Plus, isn't the way the treads sit on the shoulder more G1 accurate with Hasbro? Sure, the left shoulder should have purple instead of green on the treads, but then that conflicts with the individual bot coloring. I like Sabrblade's suggestion in the official thread: paint the inside purple while leaving the treads green.

But, I'll reserve judgement for some prototype shots of the upgrade. Also, I wonder how well it'll integrate into the individual bot and vehicle modes... Image

Is it just Photoshop (obviously the head)? Whatabout the torso having more green and the crotch more purple and the windows on Mixmaster are purple and that is a bigger cab section! Maybe they have a Takara version photo they shopped?! They filled in/extended the thighs too! And of course unnecessary purple treads on Bonecrusher. And just overall brighter purple everywhere. Hmmm...

The photoshop was meant to show how this kit might make Dev look. Anything beyond the raised arms is just things the photoshopper is hopping for.

Interesting? These Shadow FIsher guys seem pretty out of left field.

This is their second or third (I believe third) offering so far. I know one of them is the forearm gap fillers for FP's Menasor.

I love how they say they'll have the prototype out after the set is officially released, but why not get the whole thing going now? He'll be out in a little over a month, not to mention China based sellers and you know, Australia, all have him on hand now.

I'd think it would make more sense to use a set now, fabricate the proto now and start mass producing them so we don't have to wait. It's just kind of stupid to make us wait.

Third offering. Besides the above mentioned M3 upgrade, they also released the bonus armor parts for FP's Roadbuster.

Also of note is that they are also offering upgrades to ROTF Bruticus. I think I need to start that thread since it doesn't exist here yet... :-$

Guess we need to wait and see how these SF upgrades actually look on the figure.

They looked good on the FP Menasor, so I'd imagine they'll do a nice job with Devastator. I'd imagine the only real issue is color matching, honestly. The purple's probably not too bad, but that green? Ugh. That green.

I think I prefer PE's.

I believe from what i saw elsewhere they also solved a problem overlooked by PE. When you do the shoulder extension the treads on each arm are then loose. I saw a picture that their extension has piece that goes between the treads to lock them together.

Here is the image showing theirs having the fix for the loose treads.
