I apologize if there is already a thread (I am sure there isn't, because I am really excited for this release and am sure I would have remembered seeing it already.) Iron factory is continuing with the "Legends" sized (roughly scaled with each other) bots by giving us Lord Scorpion (Scorponok). By my measurements, he should stand about a head shorter than ToyWorld's Inifinitor (Fort Max), which could make these two go great together. From one of the pics below, he is a Headmaster! Here is the preorder listing from BBTS (due 2nd quarter,2 016) as well as some pics:

BBTS IF-EX18 - Lordscorpion $79.99

And, at that price, preordered!

If he is in scale with either Warden or Powermaster Prime, he is SOLD. And that detail! =P~

I don't know what to make of this guy. On the one hand he looks awesome, and Iron Factory are a superb company (I own their Windblade and she's great, dodgy paint aside, which is semi excusable as it was one of their earliest efforts). On the other hand, the size makes this...odd. Like, if he's meant to be based on Scorponok's depiction as a towering cityformer that rivals Fort Max in size then he needs to be bigger, even as a Legends guy, and honestly I'd rather go for Pandinus for that. If on the other hand he's inspired by the Marvel comics or some of his other depictions (like Energon) as being a slightly bigger than average guy, then this would actually work perfect for CHUG scale, and reasonably well for Legends.

Still, from a purely aesthetic point of view he's absolutely gorgeous. If I had the money and space to be buying loads of TFs I'd get him in a heartbeat.

For what it's worth I'd love to see IF do a combiner. I reckon the SC guys would work really well at Legends scale, as their smaller size would work to their advantage- being so small and light they'd be as poseable as a proper 6" action figure (engineering constraints aside obviously).

Really?? whoa.. That's a bit of a bummer.. the Mold for this is spot on, and I suppose it's good for it at roughly the MP-10 scale, as I gather that is pretty much where Infinitor lies, and Infinitor is nice too, they both if done in Star Saber scale would be perfect for the collection, or maybe the scale of Devastator, however If you are just collecting the Toyworld or Ironfactory figures, then I suppose it works just for that. But I really really do like this Mold shots, and sculpt. It is how I remember the cartoon scorponok and is pretty dead on in capturing the feel of that monster city machine. I suppose it's origins and the toy's playability was invented in the era of Micromachines.

Hmmm.. I wish Wei Jiang would take to KO's oversized of other 3RD party figures.. I would love an oversized ver of this figure for my display, especially if they resculpted articulation for a larger Nebulon pilot..

I got this guy. I haven't even transformed him yet, but here are a couple of initial impressions.

He is small. Like just bigger than TR Deluxe small. He might be too small to pose with Infinitor, though I need to go back to the Headmasters series and see how they looked together.

That said, I am in no way disappointed. Man alive, the detailing is awesome! He does have a tiny headmaster. I think the rest can come from Baltmatrix's review, just posted a bit ago:
