Yeah, I think I made the right choice with Giant. Especially for the price.

The more I play around with Hercules, the less I like it. The more I see of Giant, the more excited I get for it. I can't wait for the green version to hit. The yellow looks great though.

cant speak a word of chinese but im shocked to see that maketoys devastator is almost as tall as hercules.
I thourght the whole point with hercules was that he ment to be extremely tall in comparisson

to see these guys are almost the same height makes me feel i should have gone with G2 yellow devastator instead of starting on hercules

Don't know how long I've been posting that the difference in size between these two really isn't that much...

Perhaps not in height but in volume and mass, it's considerable.

Something I noticed on Giant's not-mixmaster is the windshield. Is what the review has a prototype of some kind or are there decals involved here and there? To me it looked totally yellow. :VEHI:

Set C is an unpainted prototype. There will be paint apps on the final figures.

I will say this, anyone who is done with their yellow version when the green one drops, I would be willing to buy or trade for it.

I'm still happy with Herc, but Giant doesn't look like he'll disappoint those who've chosen to purchase him :).

Guess it depends on what you consider considerable. Herc's obviously bigger, but I don't think it's omg Herc's huge, Giant's tiny!

what i ment was i KNEW he was the size of bruticus but all ive heard about hercules was that he was so huge and that he was slightly bigger unicron...

The pics kinda show there the same height roughly only that herc is slightly more beefy that giant

Unicron is actually bigger. Herc is pretty much the same size as Cybertron Primus. Head to toe, Herc is 12.5 inches. Head to toe Giant is about 11 inches, but their highest points are practically the same. I personally don't count Herc's digger arm in the up position as his natural highest point as it's an optional position which I don't put it up that way. Although I do have the mod to put Neckbreaker/Bonecrusher's blade on his shoulder like the G1 fig (and Giant) has. That makes his highest point 13.5 inches, which is also the same height as Primus' highest point. So if you want to see how big Herc is, look at Cybertron Primus...

You also have to consider where the head is on either figure. To me Giant seems smaller than he is because his head is in a different position than Herc's - lower in his body.

But it's true that people overreacted to the size of Structor in arm mode and figured he'd be bigger than Unicron. He isn't; his arms are just longer, gorilla type arms. He does, however, tower over FP-enhansed Bruticus (minus the two guns on his back), and is taller than MP Megatron. So he's not small.

is there anywhere that has a boxing/MMA style "tale of the tape" comparing the Hercules and Giant individual bots and combined modes, in regards size, POA and accessories? I've yet to bite on either set (was holding out for Giant in green before deciding, continuing releases of the TFC set with presumably sorted QC issues make me consider that a viable option now) and would like to compare them all with pure numbers, as well as proper looks at each's aesthetics.

Giant is not widely available yet for consumers/collectors. The ones that have been shown are either prototypes or sets for select reviewers. Wait till most everybody has the completed set.

Both look pretty awesome in combined mode. I do prefer the individual modes of most of TFC's bots to Maketoys. Happy about my HERC purchase and looking forward to additional sets for individual robot and vehicle modes on the shelf.
