Me too. When I get back, I'm probably going to look into selling my Herc set. I'll get the SG version of them I think, but that's for their robot modes and not the Gestalt.

Really too bad I'm so sentimentally attached to the G1 Devastator... the yellow on the G2 version really "pops" in that comparison video.

Your posts make me really pumped. I can't wait to get my hands on one of these.

Okay, so having digested the set, Scrapper is crap. It's a real shame too because he looks great. Nearly the entire upper portion of his body articulation is completely hampered by bits of unnecessarily complicated transformation. He's the only figure in the set I kind of despise. Long Haul has some complicate stuff as well but none of it really affects any of his modes poorly. So five out of six isn't shabby. Giant himself is gorgeous in hand. Very satisfied with that purchase. I can not wait to see their Computron.

I have the yellow set with Scrapper and, while I don't think he's crap, the way him arms lock-or are supposed to-does make posing him needlessly frustrating and challenging. Does look great when you finally achieve that "just right" look though.

My green set arrives tomorrow. Going to have to lock myself in my office to play with everything when it arrives.

Got mine last Saturday from BBTS. Took me awhile to put everying in to 1 and then separated them to each individuals in vehicle mode. I'm now enjoying them individually and so far only thoroughly played Excavator (Scavenger) and Bulldozer (Bonescusher). They are both awesome.

Haven't touched Wheel Loader (Scrapper) but I can see his difficult part.

Also here is my suggestion. While I was trying to put the weapons on vehicle mode, don't put the screw drivers on the dump truck as described in the instruction. Mine is way too tight. So when I put them in, I have troubles pull them out. The spaces are very limited for my fingers to grab them and I don't have very thick fingers. After a lot of tries, they were eventually out but that also cause some stress marks on the handle part. Then I just figured out it could be easier to push them out from the other side but you also need to find something that is firm enough since it is very tight. Does any body has any easier solution?

So I'm embarrassed to say this, but already broke a piece. I was able to fix it though rather easily, it was really my own fault for trying to force something, but....

On the last page of instructions it says Devastator's waist panel pops out, it is mad tight though and I wound up breaking the one thin plastic piece where the hinge and pin is on Longhaul's front waist. I fixed it with some strong epoxy and it seems as good as new, I just have a small crack line, but no biggie since it is barely noticeable. Still transforms fine and I don't have to baby it either.

I guess I just wanted to say if that waist panel won't come out for other people, don't force it, its not worth it. It took me prying it open with a knife (after I fixed it). I'm just not going to bother with it. It poses fine with out the waist panel popped open.

So my set still works and looks great for the most part, but it is no longer pristine. eh that's life I guess...

There is a lot of things on Dumptruck that I'm afraid are going to break eventually though...Like when you click the roof in place or the long plastic ball joints on his arms, I feel like its a matter of time before something happens? Love the poses you can do with him though.

I wouldn't worry about Long Haul (I refuse to use that "Not-" crap. I just call them what they really are.) The yellow set was basically a prototype. A short run figure set. There are fixes on the green Giant due to feedback and corrections on the yellow. The yellow Long Haul had corrected arms come with Mixmaster and Scavenger. I'd say it's safe to assume that the corrected arms/ball joint units come standard on the green release.

Does anybody notice the "cover" on top of Mixmaster's head can be flipped down to reveal two molded and painted missiles? Just found out last night.

Indeed. I love the Easter eggs on this set. There's a few.

Got my set and finally had a chance to mess with it yesterday. Build and paint quality are awesome for these figures-no surprises there. The gestalt was a little fiddly at first but once I got him squared up and messed with him a bit, I must say that I'm VERY impressed. Not many faults and lots to like!

And lastly, I'm liking the rage head. It's not perfect and I expect better from other third parties, but it's a nice add-on and alternative to the standard head.

Bring on Computron I say!!!

I don't have him, but I'll put my educated guess in at ~11".

Good guess. 11 inches to the head, 12.5 to the tip of the shoulder.

How many of you have both sets or plan on getting both? I've heard with some of the minor improvements done for the green set it would make sense to me to have them combined and the yellow set as individual robots. Anyone else doing this or vice versa? :VEHI:

I have both sets, although I haven't opened the green one yet. I think I'll keep them both in gestalt mode, but we'll see.

I've got both sets, but haven't had a chance to open Green Giant yet. I am interested in doing just what you describe, but haven't yet decided which set stays individual and which goes full gestalt - even with the improvements to Greenie, I think it's oging to be a personal choice for anyone who will have both sets.

I just got my Giant yesterday and spent 2 hours just getting him out of the box, combined, and transforming him from combined to vehicle mode. Awesome so far.

I have a couple questions. Sorry if these have been answered already but I don't have time to read the whole thread right now.

What's the official storage for Bulldozer and Excavators' weapons in vehicle mode? I currently have them pegged onto their sides, but it doesn't seem quite right. I figured out every one else's (Dump Truck's is AWESOME), but the instruction book doesn't really go though weapon storage and I had to guess from pictures.

Also, what's with the rectangular pegs on the sides of the arms/generators? I'm guessing a couple of the weapons will peg there, but I'm not sure why. It would be super awesome if the weapons could form fuel tanks for the generators or something, but I doubt that's the case.

One more! Is it possible to switch faces in the helmets? I like the extendable transparent visor but I'm not really big on the rage face. Mainly the toothy Leno scowl is bugging me a bit.

I am led to believe that yes, the two faces are interchangeable between the two different heads. TJDuckett's video review mentioned it, and I've seen the new head with both grandpa face and normal faces.
