Final paint aps are making me feel underwhelmed.
Are there rubber tires? I'm not seeing a 120$ voyager here.

These are looking sweet, the best G1 homage I have seen for these two classic characters!

Has there been a promo image with a size comparison against MP-10 Optimus 2.0?
Actually a size comp against TowWorlds Hegemon would be interesting to see! ;)

dammit. those will fit in perfectly in my Classics collection. And I'd been resistant until now. These finished colours are really darn nice. too much awesome stuff coming out in the immediate future.

I would love to get my hands on those weapons. The toys, not so much. If only because they are a bit too large. They look very nice.

...about bloody time too...

Those 'anime' faces are chin-TASTIC, I'll be sticking with the original faces, maybe swap Ratchet's head for the red variant...

I will say these are impressive, that said:

I don't like those large flaps behind the arms though, it will be hard to do some cool poses with that stuff.

They look crazy complex and a little delicate in some areas. I will have to see these in hands first and see how easily they transform.

I wish Ratchets arms were all white too.

About fricking time, can't wait to get my shipping notice from Robotkingdom. They look awesome and going by estimates, they will stand up to the silver strip under MP10's windsheilds, which going by this pic is perfectly in scale for Masterpiece Ironhide and Ratchet.

I don't understand why people are not impressed with the paint apps. Can you elaborate more? They look pretty good to me, but perhaps I am missing something.

:-B I dunno. I suppose there's nothing wrong with the colours and paint apps themselves, it's just that these are the final products and I'm just not seeing something worth $120.

well, each does come with about 3 or 4 figures worth of weapons, and considering iGear charged about the price of a Deluxe for 4 guns not that long ago, I think you can take some of that into consideration.

I suppose I agree that the colours aren't 100% perfect, but Ratchet and Ironhide were never sporting the most sophisticated paint jobs. I would have liked Ratchet's arms completely white, and really, I'd have thought Ironhide should have grey rather than black on his non-red parts, but the alt modes are fantastic, the robots seem to have loads of poseability and some nice little features, like the fold out comms panels.

I'm not overly keen on most of the alternate heads. Ironhide's ones are okay. Very IDW-y, but I'd have preferred if there was only one comic head and one of the cartoon head in a more characterful expression. Stll, the basic head is plenty good, and at least everyone gets the choice. Other people might have different preferences from me. Ratchet's heads are a bit different too. Again, too much black where it should, IMO be grey. I really don't like the alternate white head. I think it's really horrible. Like, FOC/Energon Optimus Prime horrible. :P But...they gave us Comic-Ratchet's head! So all is almost forgiven. I will be popping that on right away if I get this guy, so he can pretty much make 83% of the rest of the Autobots irrelevant in his awesomeness.

Do I wish they were cheaper? Yes. Do I really like them anyway? Yes.

I'll keep my preorders.

True, but then again it's fairly easy to spend $15 just going about your day. $120 is a special occasion. Times that by two and I'd be looking for a happy ending as well. I'm a little surprised there hasn't been more complaining about the price of these given people's issue with $80-$100 for a TFC Constructicon, and just look at what you were getting at the end of it.

haha! I get what you're saying. Hercules is definitely too much for me, but I can definitely see myself stretching the budget to get one or both of these guys. (Really like Ratchet, but it'd be sorta wrong to have this Ratchet, and then Classics Ironhide next to him...would explain IH's depressed look though I suppose :P )

Like Tigertracks says, I wish they were cheaper, but I really like them. It was just seeing the final colours and a proper size comparison (and the price) that kept me from pre-ordering. Release date being the end of this month means that it might be these I spring for as a present to myself rather than one of the 3rd party Devastators.

They look great. But they are too large to fit with classics and too small to fit with the MP line. They would make great book ends though.

I've had these on pre-order since day one, and I love the Mold's and the accessories and everything. But the colors are glaringly bland. Much more unappealing is the lack of details, for the money I'd expect just more detail, not so much plain red.

I'd rather have more paint app's then accessories.

iGear just has a problem with scale IMO.

I always found their alt modes boring. It's hard to get around the fact that the alt modes and paint schemes don't possess as much detail compared to other figures and they're not that interesting (if you stay true to the G1 version). I feel they did a pretty good job adding detail to the bot modes such as the forearms, legs, and abdomen (which is more noticeable on Ratchet).

The thing I am most worried about is QC. I don't want to have parts falling off, breaking, or not fitting together. But then again, that didn't stop the Ark playset from selling out.

I agree with what you said, I just don't agree with a 129$ price tag.
If these were $89.99, I'd be willing to accept it and purchase both.
but this is 40$ more then MP Sideswipe, which is a high quality licensed product. This is a unknown quality and a questionable success rate with iGear product. Maybe after a few reviews, but still.. 130$.. it's too much IMO

I got the iGear MiniWarrior Rager aka Huffer and he's really nice, quality wise. Also have the Kup heads which were spot on, but yeah, this is a whole other level. Still, I remain positive.

I wish the top of their heads was about to the shoulder of MP-10. Oh well, I guess I'll have to wait for Has/Tak to do it right. :BANG_HEAD:

I have both of these pre-ordered at BBTS. I am on the fence whether or not to delete the pre-order and wait for the reviews and risk these selling out. Or, keep them and hope there aren't any defects.
