I don't think HH is confirmed for FP...

i don't remember seeing any info about this. Any more info to share?

just to make sure here, but...are you asking for proof that FP haven't mentioned whether they'll end up doing a Hardhead in their Function X line or not?

if so I've millions of web pages I could link you to where people don't mention an FP Hardhead. Billions, maybe. Perhaps even a google's worth of unrelated media.

I think all the double/triple negatives have gotten my question confused. I was replying to ZenPrime's statement. I was trying to say - I am not familiar with Fansproject Hardhead. Is this confirmed? If so, please share a link.

FP has not confirmed anything beyond the first six molds. Hardhead has not been announced by FP. However I don't think we've ever got a statement saying they won't do one, but we won't be seeing an FP Hard Head for a little while.

Thanks Mkall

I am impressed. Is the green brighter than the G1 toy and comics?

this looks pretty cool. Way better than the Hasbro attempt, even with the HeadRobots add on. Liking the extra accessories and Duros seems pretty articulated. Not feeling this 100% though, and not sure why. I loved the G1 version and this does look like a perfect version of that, but I can't explain why I'm not pre-ordering it now. Heck, it's almost worth the money on the comedy aspect alone. "I'm getting my hardbone today" "Just took out my hardbone and played with it" etc.

Dude, I think you're crazy. I totally preordered it. I gotta get my hardbone to play with and display out in the open for all the world to see :P.

I wonder if using the guns to pull out the hands is necessary or just something that makes it easier. Otherwise, I'm loving it.

Scale wise the alt modes are spot on. The robot modes, not so much. Oh well it's a big improvement over the Hasbro version even with Headrobots.

I'm ok with the difference in bot modes given the difference in mass between the alt modes. They look awesome and great together which is what really matters in the end.

I finally realised what it is about him that seems off! Looking at the G1 and the grey on the body always seemed a more dark tan kind of colour, this is a full on slate grey. Of course the mouth not being yellow is a bug too but that was pretty obvious, and my FP Chromedome already has the wrong colours on his face so what's one more to the club? I might still get this guy, but I've other priorities for now.

I want to get him so I can compare to FP's offering in quality/design etc.

I was pretty impressed with Chromedome, but a little let down by his headmaster.

From the pics, this one looks more to my liking all around, but I want to compare them first hand and see which line I want to move forward with.

I've got this guy pre-ordered and I will more than likely be following through with it as it's very impressive. But there's something that's bugging me which I can't put my finger on. Kind of lame how the Headmaster has to basically transform whether he's in head mode or pilot mode.

I'm still kind of hoping FansProject has a Hardhead lined up for their Function X line. If they do, Hardbone is getting repainted into Roadbuster. :-$

Cheers Optibotimus. I'm feeling a lot better about this guy now and actually can't wait to get hold of him.

Question to anyone with the knowledge: if Hardbone can accommodate a G1 Headmaster, does that mean it can accommodate a HeadRobots head?

Still looking pretty bland to me. All the extra crap does nothing to homage the figure better or even make the weapons look better. I certainly wouldn't drop $100 on this. In the third party game you need to nail the homage and use the correct colors. It does have a lot of the nods there at least. Not enough to replace the Headrobots kit for me though. What is the point of that chest opening if there's no stat readout? Why the yellow bit on the cannon or the moving black piece at the end of it? There's just seems to be a bunch of pieces and unnecessary movement to maybe trick you into thinking you're getting your money's worth. I don't see it. I'm still satisfied with what I've got.

FINALLY!

It has arrived at BBTS. When Searchlight shows up, I'm shipping my loot!

Aurora/Searchlight is showing as "In Stock". Guess you'll be shipping soon. :D

I'd like to pick up Hardhead, but wonder if FP has a version coming out anytime this year (considering all their other HeadMasters on tap). Also, whether TW plans on more HeadMasters of their own.

*edit* just saw your post on the Aurora thread, must be a good day for you. but not as good as the day these all arrive in your hands!

Indeed, this, Grindrod, and Aurora all in my hands on Friday.

Ouch on the bill though...

To your question, necr0, it was discussed here earlier, but there are no plans as of yet for FP to do a Hardhead at this time. If they do, it'll likely be next year at the earliest.

Though, you are not alone in having the opinion of waiting...

Indeed. I hit "Ship" about an hour ago.

I went in, and say Hard Head was processing, but Searchlight wasn't. I came back and posted this message.

I went back 5 mins later (I'm a little compulsive) and now Searchlight's processing too!
