I know this is a bump, but Project Genesis is now in stock at BBTS. It's getting really hard not to ship the PoL now!

Yeah, I was glad to see them finally carrying it (among other 3rd party toys that were a bit closer to Has/Tak IP).

You will not be disappointed, especially if you've played War for Cybertron. It's a 1:1 match with what you see in the game and looks great on a WfC/FoC shelf :).

I've appropriated mine as Classics Omega. He totally works, and faces off well against Herc or Giant (though Giant is somewhat better scaled for that, being slight shorter).

I too am going to be displaying him with my Classics as well. Hopefully when we move and get more space, I hope to have a larger display area to display them in battle scenes as opposed to static poses. The reviews and photos on this thread made me jump on him as soon as the pre-orders came back to BBTS. I am going to (try) and wait until the last piece of War Lord is in stock before shipping my PoL but again, it's is so tempting to just click ship it now.

If you guys want the alt head with a face on it, you can snag it from ToyArena. I don't think BBTS is carrying it (at least not yet).

I have heard mixed reviews about the alt head, so I was hoping to get some more owners opinions on it before purchasing. I will say I did see an amazing custom job of the alt head with an orange shield made from a plastic toy case which looked amazing, but my skills have been dwindling and I don't know if iw ant to take a chance ruining him.

The new head swaps out easily, so if you end up not liking it you can just put the original one back in place. The head unit is the tank piece that comes out of his body. The second head is the same thing, just with the new face detailing on some different colorations to it.

The mod I was refering to is located in this thread. The way he modded Genesis's head came out to be (IMO) the perfect combination of G1/FoC.

I will say I don't know how I feel about the "stock alt" head ... something about it (in photos at least) doesn't look right.

That does look really nice, but I gotta say that I do like how the new head looks in person. It's not precisely G1, but it does look really cool and it fits the figure quite well. Either way, even with the stock head, he still looks grand on the shelf and I'm certain you will not be disappointed no matter what you decide to do :).

I saw this, checked out the thread on how to make it, and immediately ordered an alt head to give it a shot.

I was able to kitbash the Excellent Toys head for Herc with the Herc faceplate (looks so much better than either the Herc or Excellent Toys heads alone), so I imagine it won't be too difficult to do the same for Devastator's nemesis!
