Looks real purdy. Any idea on scale? Have decided that WFC Shockwave sucks as a 'CHUG' figure.

Weren't these the guys making the third party MP Soundwave? If so, it's probably MP scale... but I sure hope its not. I want a legit Classics/Uni/Henkei version (finally) versus another 3P attempt at a MP figure.

I guess its just the lighting, but doesnt the torso seem to be imposed onto the legs/arms as though there should be a different torso/character?

Maybe its just me, but he still looks great!

It looks fantastic, but I'm not really into the MP line. This would be great Hegemon-sized. So .... Ultra?

Not that i expect them to go that route.

gah, another missed opportunity in that case for someone to come up with a decent-sized CHUG Shockwave. One day the penny will drop I suppose

Just for giggles, this could be how it looks painted properly:

Oh, how I want this already. Also, out in February, a month after Soundwave. My Masterpiece shelf will look awesome. God bless third party products.

If it's not classics scale, I don't want it.

I shall suffer with WFC Shockwave for the time being.

"Megatron: It is logical that I should lead"
"But you're half my size - how is that logical?"
"erm..."

These guys need to pull their heads out of their asses and read the boards: if you make this Classics scale, you'll sell 10x more of them. They could have a Hegemon on their hands if they'd just give up on building MP sized figures.

Eh...its cool, let it be MP size. I am fine with FOC Shockwave...I do hope someone has an upgrade kit for him though to make him more g1 someday soon.

My thoughts exactly. MP figures look great on coffee tables. But not to build the entire cast of the G1 continuity.

I know the comment was a little over the top but was just trying to make a point. ;)

Most fans are accepting of 3P figures that fit into the Classics scale and welcome figures that fill big gaps Has/Tak is unlikely to or has already filled with mediocre offerings. MP on the other hand, speaking for myself anyway, I want my MP figure to be official products. They've got a great thing going here; why limit their market and make it more cost prohibitive going MP scale?

Oh well, we know someone out there will eventually produce the Shockwave most of us are after.

I wish this was classics scale too. I love MP and have everyone of them. but for that line I don't think I will be buying anything third party... (no coneheads, no iron hide and ratchet, and no shockwave!) reason being if the official one comes out the third party version will be useless to me because the official one will be better. with classics the official toys would never be better because of restrictions of Hasbro. and if it is, its not a big deal to pick up a ~$15 toy.

I collect only the characters from the MP line and some 3P figure in same scale so I think this is fantastic, think he looks really good.

I completely agree. Surely it's not even just about meeting a demand anymore, but also competing with what else is being supplied. Wasn't this very company's first figure (Acoustic Wave, was it called?) canned when Takara announced Masterpiece Soundwave? Such a waste of time and money developing it.

Classics or bust! ;)

On some of the other boards they are saying that the legs part of the posterior of the gun in alt mode, and the gun barrel becomes the backpack in robot mode. Are there more pictures because I don't know how they can come to that conclusion confidently based on these three pictures.

if it's the same size as MP Sideswipe it'd be just about okay for a Classics collection, since Shocky was always a bit big. If it's more in line with either of the MP Primes it'll be a bit hard reconciling it with the comparatively tiny little Megatrons and Starscreams surrounding it. As it is the FOC is far from perfect, but it was also only £15 or something. If this is £100+ and out of scale with the rest of my Cons, I'll be happy to pass.
