Age Of Extinction Deluxe Figure Lockdown Video Review

Fellow Transformers collector, known as Samus Ng, has obtained the upcoming Deluxe Class Lockdown from Age Of Extinction and recorded a video review of the figure. Not only does he show the vehicle and robot modes, he also confirms the head cannon capability and official (that's right!) licensing from Lamborghini!

Another nice thing? The review is short and sweet and straight to the point. At a little over 5 minutes, it's easy, it's breezy and it's a nice preview to one of the most anticipated figures of the movie line this year.

We've included the embed below:

Lockdown has an estimated release date of August, here in the States, but if he's seeing release in Asia already, chances are that we could see him by the end of July, if not sooner. Keep an eye on our sightings forum, and if you find him, share your sighting!

Reminds me of DOTM Roadbuster's transformation. The legs, especially.

I like this a lot...hope to find him as will not preorder in a case assorment and not willing to preorder a single figure at a premium price. I really wish Hotshot had been the Sonic RS Rally Car with a new mold instead of a repainted Crosshairs. What a disappointing reveal at Botcon too...I canceled most of my pre orders. I thought Arcee and Chromia were awful. The only redeeming reveal was Brainstorm.

What the hell? This isn't even a new figure; this is literally just a super modified version of DOTM deluxe Roadbuster! Way to choose the shittiest toy from DOTM to use as a base for Lockdown, Hasbro.

Not necessarily. It may have the same engineering as Dark of the Moon Roadbuster, but in no way is it the just a heavily modified version. Think of it being similar to the Generation 2 Smokescreen/Energon Starscream debacle: awfully similar engineering, but definitely a whole new tooling. ;)

This figure looks awesome. Shame the gun doesn't collapse/extend as it appears to in the film. I would have preferred that over a firing projectile feature, but you can't have everything.

While they can't replicate the face transforming into a gun as the movie, I would prefer a flip up from the back transformation, such as with Megabolt Megatron in Beast Machines.

If Hasbro got the Lambo license, that means they could put out a licensed MP sideswipe!

Clearly you haven't had enough experience with DOTM Skids and Mudflap. ;) :P

The car and bot mode look ok but that head just doesn't do it for me, I wonder if it's based on the actor. The gun is almost comically too big especially for head-gun mode. Then again I'm just happy it comes with a gun.

Looks like garbage to me. Those hands....molded into the panel. Come on, seriously?
Colors are decent enough but it's a piss poor figure if you ask me.

Nice enough, though I do wish he came at a bigger price point. Or barring that, at least be like the other Lockdown designs, which effectively doubled in size and stood taller than a voyager. If nothing else, he makes a good drone, which from the trailers we've seen is about all the villains we're going to get.

I can't help but wonder if a strict adherence to molding licensed vehicles is hurting the engineering options.

Sure his arms and legs should have extended to make him bigger, but I might get this guy. looks solid compared to Roadbuster.

They might be. Companies that produce these high end cars cater to a particular clientele who are very into how a car looks. How action figure collectors obsess about articulation they're anal about panel lines. That was a problem the early Alternators had

Designers should have made the back of his head to look like the face mask but in clear green, great alt mode :D
