I don't remember any S.N.A.K.E. armor re-release. They had a MECH unit though, but it was quite different.

Yes, I tried putting a couple of the figs in the sitting position. A normal chair sit, is more like a horseback riding splits.

Well to be honest I think it might have to do with who is more popular. Maybe it was just me but I found the Cobra's to be more dynamic and interesting of character. Besides, after studying Cobra Commanders plans for world domination he had some good foreign and domestic policy ideas.

3 of the figures are cool. 2 are un-needed, and are both the 3rd versions of each character (SS and CC :? )...

It would have been cool if they had made the whole thing Troop Builder, like put the red Ninja in there, and a black soldier of something...

Think how many more sets they would have sold for troop building.

My spider sense tells me there will be a lot of loose CC v3, and SS v 3 on Ebay in the near future...

I would have even liked duplicates of a couple of the 3 troop builders let alone new characters.

What's the point of the SS anyways (and the CC for that matter)? I thought this was going to be restyles of ARAH? I wasn't too crazy about the VvV version, and wasn't this style also in one of the Dreamwave comics?

I'll still get it anyways. I'd regret it if I didn't if the Stinger Driver wasn't release single on a card before the line ends.

Yeah, another flight trooper would have been awesome.

I mentioned the red ninja because he is supposed to make his debut as a single card figure coming up, which is basically just a repaint of the V2 Storm Shadow with an added weapon, I believe.

I certainly agree with you about including VVV color schemes, as in 'WHY???' in a 25th anniversary line do you include these.

Like I said that's why those two will be on Ebay, dirt cheap I imagine.

Seriously, the VvV colours just don't belong. It would have been better if they included a CG and a Viper instead.

Got the cobra pack today. It is a must for any Gi Joe fan.

I finally opened up my GI Joe 5-pack of Joes. I think this is the weakest of the two sets. Gung-Ho is so bad I put him back into the package. His grenade launcher is a great little weapon, if only it would stay attached. It's great that the scope flips up, nice touch. His leg joints are so damn loose though, he can't stand up well at all. Snake Eyes has the same problem. I'm finding all the removable belts and harnesses a bit annoying though. The ball & socket mid-chest joint is also getting tiresome... I'd much rather have a waist swivel or ball & socket waist. Styled like the old figures but minus the rubber band.

And Hasbro has got to retool those figure stands! How very useless to place the footpegs right on the edge of the over-raised logos. It's hard to get anyone to stand up properly on the f*&%ing stand that's supposed to keep them standing!

I'll say it again... these new figures are alright, but they're just making me wish I still had all my old figures.

Scarlett is definitely the best from this set. I'm not just saying that because "oohh it's a female figure." She's pretty stable, although that damn crossbow likes to come undone. I'm thinking a dot of glue will permanently fix that ;)

Duke is alright... weird right hand though that doesn't let him hold the rifle too well. Roadblock is great, but his hands don't hang onto the rifle well at all. And what is up with skimping on the double-jointed knees on the figures? I thought that was going to be a "standard."

HissTank has received some images of the G.I. Joe 25th Anniversary Wave 2 and 3. The figures include:

Wave 2: Buzzer, Beach Head, Lady Jaye, Serpentor and Cobra Trooper

Wave 3: Stalker, Zartan, Shipwreck, Firefly and Red Ninja.

Good find! Wave 3 looks like a winner. I really like Stalker and Firefly there. FF looks so DDP-ish. Shipwreck's too bland and plain, and the button paintwork is horrible!

Lady Jaye also very plain. Serpentor is needing to be a classic version not the DDP version. The others are cool enough.

Thanks for sharing.

The biggest complaint coming out of those sets are the piss poor legs and the inability for most of the figures to hold their weapons, although, rubber hands are better than plastic hands that have thumbs that break off after a few too many uses. Funny enough the other day I was looking for one of my old Soundwaves and discovered a V1. Destro and Storm Shadow still in good condition, God knows where the parts are. I also got from BBTS the Silver headed Pimp Daddy Destro but haven't opened him since I'm waiting to see if I can get a Gold headed one since that is rarer. To bad he only comes with a revolver and nothing else. By the by, judging by the in package look, he still has the crap left hand.

PD Destro can hold his pistol, but I never tried the legs to see if those were improved.

Ya know what's funny? The Destro in the set came with a briefcase that had a hidden laser gun. Well his hand can hold the gun but he holds it really odd, it angles down when in his hand.

I started cutting the figures' trigger fingers away from the rest of their hands, so they can hold their damn weapons properly. Or at least a bit better.

I have to agree the hands blow! I don't like the pop out joint of the wrist either, which makes it even more fragile.

I'm glad I still have my old Gi Joes.

I was comparing my G1 Duke to the new on and I'm like..... :-?

Despite the too large amount of articulation, I think the original wins out.

I'm getting the impression that these 25ths aren't so hot...

Are they worth getting? As a hardcore oldschool GI Joe fan (Larry Hama is god), I personally think they look really cool, but these hand and hip issues sound awful.

Yes, they are worth getting. They should get better as they move into the newer waves.

We'll see what the end of September brings us for new developments in this line (joe con).

It's hit or miss either way bro.

Much like anyhting coming from hasbro.

If you going for quality, get the carded figs.

The five packs are nice to a point, and have many flaws.

I should mention that the Destro in the five pack has normal legs. Not sure how that happened. Hard to believe the 25 year old Destro I found the other day is better than the guy I got a month ago. Any body going for the 8" Joe's? I saw an Iron Grenaider today and passed since he's gray and didn't look right to me.
