Is that the original Won Tiger?

sure is, recognizable (but not in the picture) by the black specks in the white plastic. tigerzord is just plain white.

I was more worried about mistaking him for the all-new Legacy White Tigerzord.

you'd have to do your best to mistake him for that one, since they look drastically different ;)

i hadn't actually tried the combined modes yet, but i gave it a try ;)
on one side, i like the idea of every the smaller robots sitting in the throne and controlling the mechsuit, and these accessory guys are the usual bandai quality stuff
what i'm not so happy about however is that each comes with his own personal soundbox, which contains only a few sounds and they have no on/off switches, apparently draining the small button-cells very quickly. i'd be more impressed if the black one that came with shurikenjin was able to determine which nin-shuriken was attached and spew out the necessary sound effects (which they basically did with both gokaiger's mobirates changer and kyoryuger's gaburevolver, which both held an insane amount of distinct sounds.
i'm also not too happy that the blue dragon sword has no way to store on the mecha when he's attached an accessory mech (at least, i haven't been able to find a nice spot)

apart from that, these guys are just fine and they look great both by themselves and attached to the gattai.

Cool, I'm eagerly awaiting the reviews for the Minipla Shurikenjin kits, and how they compare to the Deluxe. Don't really care for the sounds, so it works out.

Picked up Marvel Legends Daredevil at Target tonight. Big find. DD is a childhood fav and I'm just a little closer to building Hobgoblin.

I'm going to put my haul for the week in here, since this is my first time posting.

Finally managed to get the brothers together (had Donny and Leo for a while before finally grabbing Mikey and Raph). I also grabbed Rahzar and Rocksteady for a few baddies.

I also picked up Nintendo World Samus Aran.

I had gotten ahold of Figuart Kamen Rider ZO a while back. So for laughs, here he is in front of a copy of the Masked Rider Sega CD game for a laugh.

Isn't that what they called Kamen Rider when they tried to bring it over Power Rangers style in the 90's? Didn't know they made a game of that. Anyways, small pick up for me, but I've finally got a new Shredder.

Well, yes and no. Yes that's what the show was called, but it has nothing to do with this game... sort of. This in fact was produced in 1994, a whole year before Saban's Masked Rider premiered. The game itself was what you could charitably call an 'adaptation' of the film Kamen Rider ZO, with clips from the movie taken to be use for quick response action beats similar to Dragon's Lair. The only connections you can make with it and the television show is that its instruction booklet featured an advertisement for the similarly produced Power Rangers Sega CD game, and that footage was taken from ZO and 'carefully' edited for use in Masked Rider.

Nice Lego Hulkbuster! Been meaning to pick up more Lego Avengers stuff (especially Avenger's Tower). Can't wait for the Jurassic World sets to start coming out either.

Couple of quick, new pickups for me.

It's really nostalgic seeing poor Baxter Stockman stuck as a fly person again. Also, I can't be the only one that would like Playmates to make some toys based off of the IDW comic books, right? They have some great characters and really neat designs in that series that would make some great action figures.

Not sure how I feel about the paint job - looks a bit too blotchy in places.

Very cool, yes. I especially like how they've gone out of their way to design him as being a very Cronenberg-esque creature. Although it also reminds us of a universal constant - being Baxter Stockman is suffering.

I think the problem with Bebop is a combo of the lighting in the kitchen when I took the picture and the pimples they put on his body making him not look as good. There is a little bit of paint coming off his tusk, but not a lot and that may be my fault as I've dropped him recently.

Yeah, poor Baxter never got a great outcome in any of the cartoons. Turned into a flyman twice and lost his body completely until he was a brain in a jar in the 2003 cartoon, gotta feel sorry for the guy (even if 2003 Baxter was a huge jerk).

Heh. I got Metalhead when the series first started airing. For a while that was my only figure from the new line. Paint work's really great, and I love how he poses even with the limitations of the build. Though it almost seems a waste - I thought for sure the little missile was part of some spring-loaded mechanism.

Oh, I love the little guy's design. He looks amazing! I was able to get his little missile to fire pretty well, even if it is a flick style.

How are you liking the new line, btw? I've got a couple of issues with some of the toys (especially Rahzar, but I'm not sure if it's just my version or his design), but overall I really like the figures and the designs.

I really like everything about the lines' figure design, it's all great. I just can't help but feel though that some of their limitations in build hamper them a bit, especially when how they're presented in product shots.

One example I can think of is when I bought Newtralizer - the shots I saw of the figure made it seem like he had basic legs but otherwise fine. I get him out of the package though and like one leg is positioned off to the side, making it difficult for him to stand without having it be really awkward to look at. At least with my copy anyway.

And then there's stuff that I'm just baffled by, like Slash's headsculpt.

With Uncle Sam paying me back a bit, I figured I'd get a couple Damashii Gundams that I've have my eye on for a while.
