Personally I am expecting Optimus to have a near death experience, similar to what Megatron when through after the space bridge explosion early in the series. The cons will find his body in the debris and take him prisoner either aboard the nemesis or within the fortress of new kaon in a injury induced stasis. They will also most likely find the star saber and the forge as well.
As for Arachnid, i believe she is alive. I mean she WAS inside that pod thing, it could have offered some kind of protection from the blast, and cmon, season 3 is called BEAST hunters.
Jackie is totally alive, he's been through worse. Perhaps hell get captured and THEN killed, or just escape, but no way the crash itself killed him.

I hope it does though. Ratchet was the only one to stand up and challenge Prime. He feels betrayed, his Commander just ruined all hope he had for reviving his home and returning to it.
Ratchet has every right to feel that way. He had every right to say what he did. If this creates a schism between them, I can see it adding another layer to the story.
And I don't think for an instant this will lead to Ratchet turning on the Autobots, if anything he'll probably just go off with Wheeljack.

Good point. And I do agree that he had every right to question Prime and be upset. I'm all for questioning his choices and actions (in fact I wish it would happen occasionally just so it doesn't seem the Bots are blindly following him).
I'll be ok with it if after a few episodes of the schism, there's a chance for Prime and him to explain both sides and work it out though. I wouldn't want it lasting all season. Ratchet is basically Prime's only friend. He's the only one who has history with him. The other Autobots are basically just soldiers following orders and/or see him as a mentor, but none have an actual friendship with him.

On a side note: if ratchet had gone off to pick up the children when they rang him up, they might not have gotten into 'con hands. So, one of the reasons optimus destroyed the omega lock, and their base got thrashed, is because ratchet dismissed the kids

For some reason I had thought that Optimus had already died and then come back to life in this series, but I just realized I thought that because Optimus did kinda die, leaving only Orion, until they restored him. I feel like it wouldn't be very impacting if Optimus did die because of this previous absence.
It would be cool if he was just out of commission on the Decepticon's ship, or if they pulled some twist of Megatron working to bring him back to life just to torture him, and then it backfiring on him. Here's hoping he doesn't just get picked up by the Autobots and brought back to life with some magical thing.

Which makes Ratchet's outburst even more emotional as he's probably blaming himself as well.

Is it safe to consider Knock Out a main character yet? I mean, he's part of the main cast of 'cons, but he only got 24 episodes out of the 52 episodes. He was more of a secondary character, individually.
At least he survived both seasons.

That seems to be picking at straws, to me. He is a named Decepticon who appears regularly. Wheeljack is a supporting cast member, but I'd call Knock Out a main character.

I think what's holding him back is that, outside of "Speed Metal" and "Tunnel Vision", the story hasn't really focused on Knock Out as an important character. At best, he's just another Decepticon who happens to show up often due to his comic relief nature.
If it were for him being the funny character with the effeminate vanity, I doubt he'd have as much screentime as he's had.

Knock Out's a character, to me. I'd say he's a star of the show. He definitely needs an episode all to himself, or a flash back with Breakdown, but as is? Yeah, big cast member in my head.

I highly doubt it, for two reasons:
1.) The show runners said once a character dies, they're dead and stay dead. (They did not rule out flash backs, as evidenced by Cliffjumper's episode a few months back.)
2.) I keep hearing that Adam Baldwin quit. By choice. (I have yet to confirm that. I keep trying, but nada. People keep saying it, though.)
1 for sure is set in stone, if 2 is true, well then that ain't happenin'. Which saddens me.

It's true he hasn't done much, but he's basically the Decepticon equivalent of Ratchet. I consider all the unique characters that appear regularly to be "main" characters, because this show has a pretty small cast by Transformers standards. Other people may choose to define it differently.

I think Knock Out is as much of a main character as Soundwave is. He doesn't hang out around Megatron as much but he appears and does things throughout the entirety of the show with pretty good regularity. He isn't just their doctor, either, he actually interacts with the autobots as well. He could def do with more screentime, though.
