If I was a kid and started collecting TF's, this is honestly one of the better lines. Too bad I don't collect animated. Animated is really covering a nice diverese set of characters.

quick question why do they keep designing new characters if they plan on end Animated with season three. I like the design but, what does he transform into it's been mentioned in the show several times that there are no flying autobots with notable acception of Jetfire, and Jetstorm.

Because that's only a rumor right now.

All we know is that Hasbro (and cartoon network) hasn't said anything officialy regarding a season 4 and won't until Botcon in a few weeks.

As far as we know it is entirly possible that the lack of information is just better security on their point, or due to the likelyhood that a season 4 would have a longer break than season 3 did due to the release of ROTF.

HOLY CRAP!!!!! This is completely unexpected!!! I really hope this means that the series finale at the end of season three is false. Oh well, I'm sure the people going to botcon will find out.

Maybe Hasbro has hired Michael Bay to handle their press releases about the future of TF:A...

"Season Three is the last season."
"Yeah, there are some character models showing up - those were design ideas before we scrapped Season Four."
"We have some unused toy designs, but we don't know if they'll be released, since Season Four is a no-go."
"Ok, so we've changed our stance and just won't talk about Season Four now."
"Yes, new character models are showing up, but that doesn't mean we're gonna do season four..."

On the topic of this image, it does have several Powerglide-ish features, but it also looks like it's got heavy usage of tank treads on it... are we sure this is the plane-bot? Or, perhaps it's Powerglide's pre-aerial mode, before the Autobots realize that what they've learned through Project: Safeguard can be applied safely to other robots.

Nice design as always, I wonder if he gets anything more than a cameo.

It'd be cool to see his alt mode.

And if you scan the crowd at the end of the "Decepticon Air" episode (during the parade on Cybertron) you'll notice what appears to be a TFA Cosmos standing in the back. So there's another Autobot flyer who shouldn't exist but does.
My oldest son actually spotted Cosmos before I did which shocked the hell out of me. I had to check the episode twice on the computer just to make sure.

It would be awsome to see Powerglide make an appearance. What with all of the Starscream clones the Autobots could use some back-up and I think the 2 young twins could use some lessons in "old school" aerial tactics.

well doesn't Omega pull the whole autobot don't fly thing out of wack anyways?

I think they have actually gone more acurately "Autobots don't have atmospheric flight" hense Omega and Cosmos, and then powerglide as well if his altmode is more spaceship than jet. (plausible, if not very likely)

According to the TF Wiki, he doesn't fly, keeping in accordance with the rule that "Autobots don't fly".

He also snuck his way into the cameofest during Decepticon Air. When you see him, drink.

The most important question is: Does he have a heart ???

Yeah, why am I getting the distinct feeling that Animated's not over yet? If the whole purpose of designing Powerglide was just to have him show up in a split second cameo, then they really have a lot of free time on their hands. I think Season Four is going to happen. It may take longer to premier than Season Three, but still.

1. Yeah, Powerglide already showed up in the cartoon as a cameo. Considering that Wyatt's said in his Twitter before that he likes designing TFA characters just for kicks... I'm not at all surprised that these characters got designs. Either that, or they were designed back when the prospect of getting a fourth season was still up in the air.

2. AFAIK it's already been announced in a conference call that some of the Allsparkers listened to that Season 3 is the last season, the rights have been ceded to CN, Hasbro's creating a new series after the movie, and Hasbro's also starting up some new kids channel with the Discovery Channel that the next TF series will probably air on. Yay. -_-

Well at this rate i doubt he'll be more than a background character. Unless hasbro decides to do Animated and ROTF at the same time. It would work since we just had Animated and Universe.

Oh wow, I didn't realize that blitzwing was an autobot before being corrupted or converted into the insanity that he is today.

Nice find, I like these design images.

Well if they do end the show after season 3 ( I hope not! ) what we may see is that the toy line will continue in the form of thes few designs and or cameo characters. It will probably act as a filler line until rotf finishes and the new show comes out.

Bloody. Now that Powerglide is red, I can barely tell the difference between him, Ironhide and Warpath.

If he pops up in the cartoon, Historia (sp??) needs a cameo, even if its just a walk-by.
