Amazon Help

Greetings all!

This is my first time making a topic here, so please pardon any oversights I may make.

Anyway, I wanted to ask for advice on what to do with a recent massively disappointing experience I've had with Amazon concerning Transformers DVDs. My family lets me just buy what I want for Christmas since I'm impossible to shop for. This year, I decided to get the Shout Factory versions of Japanese Trilogy. I ordered Headmasters and Victory first due to a recent price drop. Masterforce got held up a bit, but I figured I had time and had been watching Headmasters while I waited. When Headmasters arrived, I was disappointed when I noticed it was not original factory shrinkwrap. It was obviously resealed. I didn't mind so much because it had a nice slipcase and the discs seemed fine. It also played well, though I must say that I am very particular about condition and when I buy something new I expect new, as in I am the first and only owner this item has ever had. If I had come across this particular Headmasters DVD in a store, I would have passed. Nevertheless, it seemed okay, and I figured I got a fairly good deal and it would be a lot of hassle to complain. The only real problem I had with it is that the non-factory shrinkwrap which was used to reseal it left a pressure mark on the back of the box. Today, Masterforce arrived, and now I'm actually upset. :CON: I had ordered some things for my brother, and made a second smaller order for myself just Masterforce and another smaller item. I wanted separate shipments (mainly to protect the Masterforce box) which is why I placed separate orders. They sent everything in one large box, and its obvious that my DVD rattled around in there during shipment. The slipcase has scratches and dents which likely resulted from handling and not being properly secured in this oversized box. On top of that, Masterforce also has the obvious repackaging shrinkwrap, and I checked the discs and they show signs of having been played, such as the little circular marks on the middle of the discs. It was also missing the insert, which is probably just advertising (and for all I know Masterforce didn't have an insert, I'm just assuming based on my previous experience with Shout products). I'm more than a little annoyed, but again, it'd probably be a lot of hassle to complain, and I don't know what, if any remedy I could possibly expect. I also don't have very much vacation time to watch the entire trilogy and wanted to see it in order. However, the condition truly does bother me. Any advice or suggestions? Has anyone had similar experiences? Thanks all!

In the first instance, complain to Amazon.
