Can`t wait to see some of those new figures (better pics than we`ve seen for some of them), G2 Optimus in particular. Sounds like there is a lot of cool stuff in this issue.

Remaining three eh?

Wheeljack, Trailbreaker (Trailcutter, that's pretty much in the bag) and I would assume Gears? I'd love to see a new gears. I really want them to make him a Scout figure! oh, and I would kill for a classic style combiner. Like Menasor! I mean if they can do it for movie Devastator, I'm sure they could for any one of the combiner teams!

I really hope Wheeljack, Trailbreaker and Gears are new moulds...

Now that we see better pics of the figures, Scourge and Perceptor look much better than what we saw at the conventions. G2 Prime well that's interesting because the original mold could slip in with the Classics nicely. Lets hope we get a Nemesis Prime/Scourge(RID) repaint, or maybe a Black Convoy with the G2 upside down Autobot symbols.

I know everyone's excited by new toy previews, but my eyes were more attracted to this little bit:

"Brian mentioned that they hope to have registration online later this year for BotCon 2011"

Registration up late November or December would be interesting.

I think they will definitely do Wheeljack but that it will be a slightly remolded version of Tracks (new head/paint job).

Gears could be made from the same mold as Perceptor as that car/truck is quite similar in shape to his alt mode.

Skids could be done with the Cliffjumper/Bumblebee mode.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see more new molds but we've already seen a few new molds and you know we're going to be seeing some repaints of them. With these characters who 'haven't had new figures yet' I think at least 2 of them will be repaints of molds they have already got. :BOT:

Dang; if "Trailcutter" wasn't listed as a scout, I'd say it was going to be a Trailbreaker-remold of Classics Perceptor.

I can't figure where they're going with the "3 Original Autobots"

I guess, process of elimination, starting with all of the 1984 Autobots (thank you TFWiki):

Autobot Mini-Cars: Bumblebee, Cliffjumper, Brawn, Gears, Windcharger, & Huffer
Autobot Cars: Bluestreak, Hound, Ironhide, Jazz, Mirage, Prowl, Ratchet, Sideswipe, Sunstreaker, Trailbreaker, & Wheeljack.
Autobot Commander: Optimus Prime

Then we remove everyone released in Classics & Universe (Classics 2.0)...

Autobot Mini-Cars: Brawn, Gears, Windcharger, & Huffer
Autobot Cars: Jazz, Trailbreaker, & Wheeljack.

Then we remove characters getting figures under Reveal the Shield...

Autobot Mini-Cars: Brawn, Gears, & Huffer
Autobot Cars: Trailbreaker & Wheeljack.

That still leaves five "original Autobots" that haven't had Classics figures. Maybe we're supposed to eliminate Trailbreaker b/c he's already been announced in the form of "Trailcutter". Huffer seems unlikely, since he just got released in PCC as a reasonable approximation of himself (small yellow truck), and Brawn also seems dubious, since we just got a ROTF Brawn last year, and now we're getting an even closer approximation in the form of HFTD Firetrap. Wheeljack and Gears seem almost certain then.

On the other hand, if "original" includes 1985 Autobots, the list gets a lot longer. This seems plausible since the 1984 TFs were re-released with them, and all with rub-signs. If...
1) You count the Legends Class Classics figures (Beachcomber, Brawn, Warpath, Cosmos, & Whirl), Universe Powerglide, HFTD Seaspray, and the crappy repaints of Cybertron Soundwave (as Blaster) and Cybertron Defense Hotshot (as Roadbuster) as modern updates, and if...
2) You don't count Omega Supreme, the Dinobots, the Omnibots, and the Jumpstarters as "Original" Autobots...

This adds no more than... Skids and Hoist.

So, that cuts it down to Gears, Huffer, Trailbreaker, Wheeljack, Skids, and Hoist.

Pretty much what everyone else has said, but I want to go on record as saying I don't like the number of "ifs" involved, and that still doesn't cut it down to "three".

I wonder what they mean by original Autobots. If it just means the first year's then only Wheeljack, Gears, and Huffer haven't been touched.

I hope they don't stop there. I would really like to see a new Omega Surpreme toy, as well as the rest of the early Decepticons like Rumble, Laserbeak and the Insecticons.

I wonder if Cybertron Soundwave will be remolded into Blaster?

I doubt Hasbro would revisit that (bot on right), especially now that you can get a 3rd party upgrade for it (bot on left).

Plus, IIRC the SDCC Blaster reissue was run under the Universe header, wasn't it? Which in some marketer's head may count.

Who knows - maybe we'll get something from WFC Soundwave. It would be kind of lame, but at least it would be affordable.

I really hope Wheeljack isn't a repaint/remold. I think he is more deserving of his own mold. My guess is Wheeljack, Trailbreaker, and since we're getting a Grapple I'll say Hoist. I would really like to see a Warpath and Cosmos.

It meant the first year's Autobots, from 1984. Gears, Huffer, and Wheeljack are the 3 remaining Autobots that haven't received any love from Classics.

I wish Trailcutter(breaker) was a deluxe class..

Well if that's the case then I'd be more than happy to see Wheeljack new mold/tracks repaint remold whatever.

Huffer and Gears would be sweet too as long as they don't turn them into Ultra size figures like Powerglide or Voyagers like Seaspray is.

I'm all for keeping things in their accurate sizes. Deluxe would be ok so at least they wouldn't be bigger than/same size as Prime.

I've just seen the latest story on Seibertron and was just as disappointed to see that 'Trailcutter' is indeed Trailbreaker and is Legends class. :BOOM:

It's a no buy for me. Shame as if they had made a Classics figure then they could have repainted it into Hoist.

I wonder if this decision was based on Encore Trailbreaker and Hoist not selling as well as most of the other Encore figures did?
I THINK only Skylynx sold less.....

Yeah, the enlarged characters don't bother me so much, but I really don't think Legends Class figures should 'count'. As far as I'm concerned the Classics line still needs revamps of Brawn, Beachcomber, Warpath, Cosmos, Trailbreaker, etc.

Fortunately, the movie toys have given us good (or at least adequate) proxies for Brawn, Beachcomber, Hoist, Seaspray, and others. My spider-sense suggests PCC Heavy Tread will be repainted as Warpath and RtS Perceptor will be remolded as Trailbreaker, although I do wish Warpath could be a voyager class figure like Seaspray.
