Transformers & the Robotics Industry
Posted: Fri May 11, 2012 6:04 amA friend of mine showed me a video this morning that rekindled the thought of "when are we going to get kick but transforming robot toys?" Now obviously I'm not talking about the toys we have now. I'm more referring to things like this:

The technology isn't brand new either as I first saw a Transforming RC robot several years ago. Can't remember what it was (and I seem to remember it being blue), but a quick youtube search pulled up this video from 2006:

I'm sure there are many more like it out there and as a fan of both the robotics industry and Transformers I can't help but feel eager for the day they hit the market... and not cost an arm, leg and kidney to buy. I was totally broken hearted when Sony canceled their work on Qrio (his movements were so fluid by the time they canceled him D; ). He wasn't a Transforming robot, but he was still pretty awesome (and down right adorable!)
What are your thoughts on these cooler-than-Hasbro's-pop-up Transforming RC's?
